Kapitel 31: Tyrant's Training
Lilian Mo yawned while watching Lin Jiaojiao fighting against a mutant plant. Mizuki Rei was instructing her while also dealing with other mutants.
Mu Qingqing was busy blasting mutants on the other side using her power packed punches. When the air suddenly changed around the girl, Lilian Mo knew that she had leveled up to Level two.
It was even faster than she expected.
"Momo! I did it! I managed to breakthrough!" Mu Qingqing cheered with joy. Despite this, the girl continued to plow through her enemies with consistent speed and it almost reminded Lilian Mo of a green skinned giant from an action movie about heroes.
But Mu Qingqing was an adorable little girl who possess monstrous strength in her little arms. Even a kick from the girl is enough to bash a normal human's skull.
"What? Qingqing leveled up again?! I've only recently reached level one!" Mizuki Rei felt like his pride had suffered a huge blow. His own fiancé was even stronger than him! How could he face the world?!
"Big brother Rei, am I doing good?" Lin Jiaojiao asked.
Mizuki Rei snapped from his depressing thoughts. "Ah.. Yes! Jiaojiao is doing great!"
With Mizuki Rei's guidance and gentle approach, Lin Jiaojiao was progressing. She was making full use of the sword that Lilian Mo gave her.
During times of crisis, she would unconsciously erect a barrier that would keep her away from the mutants.
Mizuki Rei managed to teach the girl the basics of fighting but when it comes to her barrier ability, he was at a loss at what to do.
Lilian Mo decided it was time to take over.
"Go watch over Qingqing. I'll supervise over Jiaojiao for now."
"Jiaojiao, just remember what I said! You're a tough kid. I'm sure your big brother would be happy to know that you survived with your own strength! I'll go for now!"
Lin Jiaojiao nodded in acknowledgment. She suddenly felt like she had gained another older brother due to Mizuki Rei's doting personality. "En. Thank you, big brother Rei."
Lilian Mo felt assured that the girl wasn't the least bit afraid of Mizuki Rei. She was worried that after what Lin Jiaojiao experienced, she would be averse to interacting with men.
Although it was fine to be cautious, it was not good to be so obvious. A girl's upper hand can sometimes be her gender. People would often underestimate a girl and would not be too overly cautious against them.
The honey trap was a trap for a reason. It was able to bring kings to their knees and make lords lose their heads.
Naturally, Lilian Mo who has long adapted to the cruel reality of living in an apocalyptic world, knows just how effective this was.
This was something she relied on just to get Lu Jingren to do her bidding back then.
Cough. Anyway, that was a story that would later be told.
"Jiaojiao, make a barrier around you." Lilian Mo said in a serious tone.
"Big sister Mo, I don't have full control over it..." Lin Jiaojiao said with hesitation. Lilian Mo flashed infront of her and blasted a mutant with her fire ability.
Another came to charge from behind. Spiked erupted from the ground, piercing their head and crushing their kernel with its sharp momentum and force.
"Rely on imagery. As long as you have a consistent image on your head, you'll be able to produce results." She blasted another group. The fire licked against the mutants' skin, reducing them to ashes.
The smell of charred meat and blood made one wrinkle their nose. This was like a scene of the world's most trashy barbecue party.
Lin Jiaojiao tried to do what she said, just as a mutant plant's vines went to lash out at her. It's thorns were erect and posed to attack her.
She managed to put up a barrier in time but the speed was too slow. Lilian Mo was not satisfied.
"Again."
Lilian Mo ran through the mutants, driving them towards Lin Jiaojiao and placing more pressure at the girl.
Lin Jiaojiao paled at the huge number that was heading for her.
"Big sister Mo..." She gulped as she extended her hand. A transparent film appeared but with the number of mutants, it easily broke and collapse like fragile glass.
Lilian Mo burned them to dust.
"Don't just imagine its appearance. Make sure it has the properties of a barrier. Solid and hard. Now, again." She said without mercy.
Mizuki Rei who had finished his side was watching Lilian Mo while shaking his head. The scary girl was such a tyrant! However, he did not interfere.
He has faith in Lilian Mo. With her help, he managed to grow stronger and to learned how to defeat mutants with swift and accuracy, not wasting any time.
He was unlike his fiancé who relied on her explosive power. Instead, Mizuki Rei would use wind blades with calculative movements, aiming for the kernels immediately as to not waste his ability's usage.
He also learned not to do unnecessary fighting and movements. The goal was to kill the mutant, not play with it or draw out the battle.
The difference between fast and slow could also make the difference that could save one's life.
While watching Lilian Mo pushing Lin Jiaojiao at the mutants, he remembered how this used to be him.
He silently prayed.
'I have graduated from the tyrant's training academy. The heavens are so good to me!'
Lilian Mo rubbed her nose. Someone was badmouthing her. She immediately turned to a certain brunette who was praying.
Feeling the latter's gaze, Mizuki Rei straightened and acted like he was only resting.
