A few hours later, some decided to gather to discuss seriously what they would do in the tournament. Representing the students of Cobra Kai, Miguel was present; Robby was also at the meeting; and obviously, Dash represented the students of Sakura Bushido, accompanied by Devon.
Not to mention the tense situation, but at that moment, Dash focused on eating, and Devon next to him did the same.
"So, why exactly did you call me?" Robby felt very confused and couldn't stand the fact that he was at the same table as the Cobra Kai members.
"This is uncomfortable for everyone, but we really wanted to consider you, so we called you to attend the meeting." Devon nudged Dash to focus.
Dash, who was enjoying his large steak, looked at Robby and nodded. "Basically, there were a series of misunderstandings that ended in a big fight with several Karatekas from Seaford High School. Now, to solve things, we'll have a tournament between both schools."
"And what does that have to do with me and Miyagi-Do?" Robby asked, still not understanding.
Hawk, who had been watching him from the start, said, "I told you, it was a bad idea to call him from the beginning, and no one listened to me."
Looking at Robby, who openly showed his hostility, Dash, a bit more serious, said, "Listen very well. I was assigned the task of selecting the team, and knowing that we're not the only ones training martial arts, we wanted to consider you so as not to leave you out."
"At the end of the day, we will represent the school, and we thought it was ugly not to have you in mind. We heard that you're returning to school, and knowing where you train, we just took you into account. Whether you want to participate or not will be your problem. Seeing your attitudes, we have done the minimum to include you all," Devon said a bit abruptly.
Miguel, who seemed calmer than usual, said, "You heard it; whether you accept it or not, that will be your problem."
"What were you doing at a different school?" Robby asked just to satisfy his curiosity.
Devon, who was eating ice cream, said, "A debate competition, and we won, by the way."
"It was overwhelming; not only did they beat them with words, but also with fists," Hawk said with a slightly swollen eye but with high morale.
Looking at Robby's composed attitude, Dash knew he was holding back because he had called him. Otherwise, he was sure he wouldn't have shown up, so Dash thanked him for that.
Dash reached for his phone and said, "You must understand that your problems are not our problems. You can hate each other or be enemies, and that will still not matter to me as long as you solve those problems in special competitions."
"We have that in mind; there will be no more attacks between Dojos," Miguel said, convinced of his words.
But Robby, upon hearing this, furrowed his brows slightly. "Of course, there won't be any more attacks after they destroyed our dojo."
"We repaired it..." Hawk said he was a little hurt by these words.
"They left the damn stone upside down."
"Who puts a damn stone in the middle of their dojo?"
Dash sighed wearily and said, "Hey, those who fight end up loving each other. You have problems that you can solve; you just need to take a step forward, and whoever is to blame needs to accept their mistakes."
"This conversation is getting more and more awkward," Miguel said, growing more impatient.
Demetri, who was eating in a corner of the table, said, "Believe me, I felt uncomfortable on the trip, but that changed as we survived."
Robby looked at Demetri and asked, "Did you travel to the debate with them? Did they do something to you?"
"We're not criminals," Miguel said, looking at Robby with furrowed brows.
Hawk nodded and said, "Although I wanted to hit him, the guy from Seaford's school did better than I thought. Once again, we have to admit that Miyagi-Do creates weak people."
"Then why did I beat you in the tournament?" Robby asked, annoyed by Hawk's comments.
Devon, who was focused on her ice cream, said, "Please, ladies, can't you stay still for a while? Take a deep breath and stop talking about your marital problems."
"Well, we'll talk later about what we'll do on the school sports field," Miguel said as he got up from the table.
Robby didn't say another word and also got up. One by one, they left the restaurant, leaving only Devon, Demetri, and Dash, who were still eating.
"I don't want to be a party pooper, but... who will pay the bill?" Demetri felt a bit terrified, seeing that only the three of them remained.
Devon looked at some untouched meals and told a nearby waiter, "Excuse me, can you pack those dishes for me?"
"I'll pay..." Dash ended up paying the entire bill in the end.

Since the day ended with good relations among all the dojos, or so they all wanted to believe, Dash received an email the next day detailing the rules for the tournament scheduled a week later.
At Devon's house, Dash sat in the living room with printed sheets of information that he needed to share with everyone.
"The date is very convenient for coordinating among all of us. The last meeting ended quite badly." Devon approached with a jar of fruits and placed them on the table.
"It seems that the matchups will be in pairs; we will be fighting in pairs, and the victory will be determined by the points between both participants," Dash said after understanding a bit more about the tournament.
Devon approached, and after reading a bit, he nodded in understanding. "If the tournaments are in pairs, it means that there will only be a few participating pairs."
After hearing Devon's words, Dash's hand, which was between the information sheets, began searching through them. Upon finding what he wanted, he said, "We can bring five pairs, ten people at most, and I suppose there will be a total of ten pairs."
"That would be twenty competitors, and half of them would be women. Are there really that many women in martial arts schools in that place?" Devon's confused voice stood out when asking this question.
"That's the same thing she asked..." Dash's gaze was perplexed. His eyebrows furrowed as he contemplated the possibilities, and after a while, he looked at Devon. Indeed, it was known that the wisest decisions were made by her, so he awaited her response.
In this way, Dash was merely a figure in which he combined his ideals with Devon's to make a more open decision. Nevertheless, considering that there are students from three karate schools, he assumed that everything should be very fair.
Achieving balance in everything is impossible, given that there are still problems. However, Dash wanted to find a kind of peace in a competition that could bring them all together.
It's not so bad now that he thinks about it. Maybe many participants in this competition can find some redemption and fix their problems.
"I seem to recall... a week ago, when we were training with Cobra Kai, I heard that Miguel showed some interest in Tory... Do you think that could complicate things within the group? We could leave someone out if you think they would be a problem," Devon murmured as she sat down to watch some television.
Dash knew about this because she told him, and at that moment, he subtly mentioned it to Miguel. As for whether he understood the message or not, that wasn't his problem.
"All I know is that we need to come together if we want to win this in a cool way. If we're separated, it would look too bad," Dash said as he reclined on the couch.
...
Sakura Bushido Martial Arts School.
"A tournament in pairs?" Victor jumped with excitement.
Dash sighed deeply and said, "From Sakura Bushido, Devon, Sophia, me, and you."
"Only four?"
"There's a limit on participants, so those numbers are more than fair. We'll bring two teams, and Cobra Kai will bring two teams, leaving one for Miyagi-do because we know their limited numbers." Devon approached while wiping off the sweat.
Chozen, who was nearby, asked, "Will you need any Sensei to accompany you?"
"We should ask; it would be interesting to see."
With so many masters, it would be interesting to see Johnny and Daniel together in a tournament, fighting on the same side. That would precisely calm Dash from so many strong emotions.
