"The eliminations are over..." Dash was admiring the fights, and it must be said that being a spectator this time around made things calmer.
Devon had mentioned this many times, but Dash had never felt such tranquility in a tournament knowing that Devon wasn't participating.
"The adrenaline isn't the same as watching you compete," said Dash, who had a huge two-meter burrito in his hands.
Devon looked at him wide-eyed and asked, "Where did you get that?"
"A guy was selling them; help me eat half."
For Dash, who was hungry, this enormous burrito was not a challenge. At least the fights would be better when one ate.
"It's about to start..." Devon watched as the dojos were now being introduced for the final matches.
Miyagi do Fang was the name Johnny and Daniel had created to fight against Cobra Kai; their students were among the best compared to Terry's students, who could do little in the matches.
What surprised Dash was that, in the end, many of his students were in the division, both female and male, preparing to reach the final.
In the female division, Sam and Tory were in different places, facing someone from Sakura Bushido along with another unaffiliated dojo. Unfortunately, in this division, the women Terry had chosen were not at the level of the other fighting women.
"The final will be between Sam and Tory; it's a shame Sam had to face our girl," Devon sighed, knowing that the more experienced one would face the girl who had helped in the training.
"Well, the final isn't bad at all."
Dash wasn't interested in this fight since his school wouldn't win a female division like last year with Devon, but that was okay; it brought a breath of freshness to this tournament.
As the fight unfolded, both competitors showed they were well-trained, but not enough, as neither could prevail over the other in the combat, which wasn't very pleasant to see from Dash's perspective, who preferred to see one fighter dominate over another.
"Winner!"
The fights progressed, and unexpectedly, Tory defeated Samantha in the female category, becoming the undisputed champion of the female division, concluding the first part of the tournament.
With a winning division, the next fight would be between Danny and Miguel, a quite interesting fight to watch since several months had passed since they had fought before.
Without waiting much longer, the last match in the male division was about to begin.
"Ready? Fight!"

"Danny is a very versatile warrior; seeing how he fights and the way he withstands all those blows just makes me think he's been fighting all his life." Dash could analyze the fighting style of that fighter very well instead of him defeating Hawk in a closer match than expected.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Miguel was fast, mastering the submerged combinations of attacks, but his strength was not enough to overcome Danny, who seemed to be defending against all the attacks.
Miguel scored the first point, and then Danny continued the fight in a truly brilliant way. Since Robby had lost, only Miguel remained, who had to stop the male beast from entering his rival dojo.
Dash had heard that both schools had decided to close if they lost; this was too much to process because one of the schools now fighting would cease to exist, and that was something he didn't want to see.
"Point!"
"Aaaaahhh!"
Dash shook his head as he saw Miguel fall and muttered, "A shame; this fight will be taken by his rival."
There was no doubt about who would be the champion; although Miguel was superior, he couldn't defeat Danny, who now dominated a very aggressive martial art, not giving many chances to be countered.
Boom!
"Point!"
Miguel was now tied with Danny, which meant that in the next point, there would be a winner, and that would be the end.
Devon then understood what Dash meant, and at that moment, Danny, with an even faster speed, defeated Miguel with a kick that connected to his head.
The fight was over; a quite fierce blow had left Miguel on the ground, and Danny was the winner.
"He got too confident..." Dash could see that Miguel had apparently gotten confident; the reason he couldn't score points at times was also because the referee was very likely biased.
Devon stood up and left the audience before they handed out the trophy. "We would have really won."
"Are you regretting not participating?" Dash didn't force Devon not to participate because she was aware of the tournament they were entering.
"Let's just get out of this place; I hate being asked why I didn't participate."
"Just tell them it's your period."
Devon looked at Dash and said very close to him, "Don't mention that again; it brings back bad memories."
What few knew was that Devon didn't participate one year precisely because of that medical condition that only occurred in women.
But as if to lighten the mood, Dash hugged Devon from behind and said, "Well, since that's not the case, carry me to the exit."
"I'm going to throw you down the stairs."
"A princess wouldn't throw her prince away."
"If you say something cheesy again, I'll throw you down the stairs."
...
Hawk watched Devon and Dash walk away in the distance, so he said, "Believe me, I don't doubt it, but those two have lasted longer than Miguel and Sam."
"The same goes for you; I guess we're quite immature to fall in love."
Johnny was fuming for having lost and shouted, "I'll increase the confrontation these holidays."
