Kapitel 80: Chapter 70.1: Who Is With You And Who Is With Us?

The poor pauper in the streets would have no one approaching him, while the rich guy living in the desolate mountains would have many distant relatives. [T/N: Idiom about people wanting to associate more with a rich guy even if he's reclusive.]

As long as one was capable and rich, even if one didn't take the initiative to make friends, a lot of people would make their way to one's doorstep to become one's friend.

And everyone surrounding Ying Ye Zhenshi had suddenly become very friendly.

They were more than happy to act in such a way if it meant there would be a return.

The 'kind' students tried to communicate with Ying Ye Zhenshi but were then sent away by the same 'kind' Ying Ye Zhenshi.

The honest truth was that they were just approaching the problem in the wrong way.

Lessons for the day were finally over.

When school ended in the afternoon, Hirata cheered up a little.

After the teacher left, he walked up to the podium.

"Before you guys head back from school, I ask that everyone pays attention earnestly. Please, everyone."

It had to be noted that Hirata still held a helpful status in the class, as his short announcement still made it so that most students stuck around.

But Ying Ye didn't know if it was because his earlier anger had not yet been eliminated, or because he felt ashamed sitting amongst his peers, Sudou pushed his desk away and stood up in a disruptive way, as though he was not happy to see anyone.

Looking at Hirata, he also began sneering, Clearly, Hirata had been the only one to have wholeheartedly tried to help him earlier, and yet this was his attitude.

"Who do you think you are to order me around? Why do I have to listen to what you have to say?"

A bad temper seemed to have become synonymous with Sudou.

No matter whether it was a defence mechanism or his true feelings, no one would like such an attitude.

Ying Ye Zhenshi paid attention and smiled at the irascible display of the kid, and couldn't help but feel entertained the more he watched him.

Since the beginning of the school year, it appeared as though he had been paying attention to that boy quite a lot.

"This is something related to our future, so please listen up Sudou. This month, we didn't get any points. This is a problem that will hugely affect our future student life. We can't go on like this and graduate with 0 points, can we?"

"Definitely not!"

Shouted one girl girl in the class, followed by a gentle nod from Hirata.

"Of course not. So, we have no choice but to try and get some points next month. That's why everyone in the class has to work together to fix our problem. We should refrain from being late to and talking during class. Naturally, using cell phones during class is also prohibited."

Hirata looked at the impatient Sudou and quickly explained what he had set out to say, hoping that this was enough to persuade the students in the class to give up their bad behaviours.

"Ha? Why do we have to listen to what you say? If the points stay constant, there's no reason to stop. This is all just a waste of time. You can do whatever you want but don't involve me. I have no time to talk to you now since I have to go to my club."

Ken Sudou left a final disdainful warning.

He was now going to his club and planning to work hard.

As long as his basketball skills were good, he would definitely be able to stay as a member of the basketball club.

He didn't know why thoughts on his membership popped up in his mind, but it seemed that what Ying Ye Zhenshi had said earlier had given him a lot of pressure.

Before leaving, he took a look at Ying Ye Zhenshi, wondering why this boy was still in the class.

'Shouldn't this guy have left earlier?'

It seemed to be yet another scene where Sudou's figure could be seen quickly disappearing out of the door.

Unlike when the school year had just started, this time he had left without bringing other students along with him.

Compared to him, others obviously cared much more about their future points and any plans the class would put in place to change their current standing.

"Hahaha~~ Isn't this quite an interesting sight? I seem to recall having seen this very scene just as we started school."

Noticing Sudou's furious steps out of the room, Ying Ye Zhenshi showed a sinister smile.

'This guy is really talented. He still managed to lose his temper at such a delicate time.'

His threshold for getting angered was quite low, which was very strange to Ying Ye.

The current situation was very similar to the beginning of school, and it was almost a re-enactment of the scene from the beginning of the year.

After chuckling, he looked over at Hirata on the stage.

"Hirata-san, what are you going to do now? You've found yourself in quite the conundrum. It's pretty clear that even such a simple thing just leads to you asking for trouble. This desire to help him will only slow you down. Maybe, after you have worked hard to increase the class points, they will somehow be lost anyway."

Ying Ye Zhenshi's words did not hide the underlying meaning, and everyone in the class could guess what he was implying.

Saying these words wouldn't affect his image in the other students' hearts, but it would affect the image of another classmate of theirs.

He had reminded everyone that Sudou Ken's 'glorious' reputation should have been clear.

Hearing his words, many individuals were indeed worried.

If what he implied were to become the reality, then it would indeed be completely meaningless to increase their class points.

The classroom immediately fell into an atmosphere where the students wanted to give up before they had even started on their arduous path.

"I suggest you work hard in your own club. After all, the clubs will only take into account one's individual strengths. So long as you can attain some results, you will receive personal points. That guy probably thinks the same way."

With a serious expression, he suggested to Hirata.

Everyone in the class had also heard what he said.

'Clubs can lead to private points.'

If there were people who had joined a club previously, they would have already known about it, but whether they had the heart to work hard and gain results was another matter altogether.

At least, until today.

And for those who had not yet joined any clubs, this was an important piece of news.

Many students in Class D in particular had not yet joined any clubs.

"Are you telling the truth, Ying Ye-kun? Do the clubs really give points? I haven't joined a club yet."

The girl sitting behind Ying Ye Zhenshi couldn't help but asking, making the students beside them prick up their ears.

"It's true. The clubs in this school will reward you with points. Of course, it depends on your performance. If you just fish in troubled waters, there is probably no chance of you winning anything. There is also the student council. There are still many ways to get points in this school. There is no need to hold on to the hope of increasing the number of class points only."

Ying Ye Zhenshi responded.
