Kapitel 37: Chapter 37- Westin – A Visit from Someone Unexpected (VOLUME 1)

It had been a little awkward with Rika's parents having come to the apartment Sunday morning. And then when her brother came, accompanied by the entire group of their friends. Yes, I knew them all, but this mating was still so new to Rika, and I didn't want it to affect her at all. And something, though I didn't know what, had affected her while Reagan and the others were there.

Before they left, I had pulled Reagan aside so that I could talk to him. I told him that he should have come alone. He hadn't been asked to bring the others.

"I know." He looked down a little dejectedly. He knew that he had messed up, but he hadn't done it on purpose. "It's just that, well, I knew that Rika had been hurting a lot lately, and I knew that something had happened. I thought that she needed to be comforted. So, in that moment, I had thought that I needed them here for her benefit. I didn't know what we were walking into."
