In a particular leafy forest, the pale moonlight glowed like an incandescent body.

Below it, the sound of wood striking wood echoed through the forest like a beacon a death-seeking fool would use to call danger unto himself.

Although, the cause himself didn't care.

His mind was long gone into... into...

"Ouch!" The echoes stopped and Niki's pained voice followed, snapping him back to reality.

Blood covered the lower part of his face and his fingers which were crushed by the hefty grinding stone he was using to crush a substance that seemed to have the semblance of... leaves?

"Freak, I overdid it." Niki bit his lip and slowly let out breath but hissing did nothing to lessen his pain.

"[Onemius Lanrtumm]" He cast a spell, one that he hadn't acquired enough proficiency on to cast with incantations and his hands shone brightly, bright enough to make shift his gaze.
