Kapitel 145: Into the states - IV

Mikayla moved her hair to the side and Evelyn watched as her husband reached over and placed the necklace over her neck. He fastened the buckle as he stood behind her. 

Evelyn gulped watching all of it happen in front of her eyes. 

"Sal—Don?" She whispered in question to what was happening. 

Or maybe just because Evelyn did not want to acknowledge the fact that whatever she was thinking could be the truth. 

Not only was her chosen dress being worn by another woman, the necklace that had been given to her by her husband was being placed on another woman's neck while Evelyn was alive and breathing. 

Even if she was Salvatore's mistress and was recognised as one, that was the offense of the highest order. 

The wife was being respected in front of everyone by the husband because of the mistress and in this case this woman was not even the mistress. 

If Salvatore heard her pitiful voice he did not reply to her.
