Kapitel 144: Into the states - III

"Wh-where are your tongues?" She asked in horror at the sight of their mouths which did not consist of the tongue. 

They glanced at each other before the same maid; Mia brought a notepad out and without writing anything she slid it over to Evelyn. 

Evelyn read the content written on the page. 

'We were being nosy. The don punished us accordingly.'

Oh, Evelyn nodded and slid it back to them. It was obvious why Salvatore was not worried at all.

But had the don done this just because they would be nosey? This was a huge punishment. For the Don to cut off the tongue of someone and keep them again in his employment must mean something.

Otherwise, it would have been anyone else you would have to discard them already. Rats and traitors had no place in the organization. 

They are still there and there must be a particular reason for that. 

"Thank you," she nodded her head and went back to her food.
