Upon arriving at the hotel, Charlie promptly ordered food for us. We had dinner together, and afterward, I relaxed on the wide sofa, gazing at the beautiful snowy landscape outside in the dim light. I tried to forget our problems and convince myself that everything would be okay with my mother.

"I came here to rest, not to receive a report!"

Charlie's firm voice from the door diverted my attention. He approached with a hint of anger on his handsome face, adorned with a thick mustache. I didn't understand his fascination with it, making him look mature yet cool.

"Don't you want to sleep?" he asked, sitting on another sofa and immediately sipping a glass of wine on the table, then pouring more from the bottle.

"I can't sleep," I whispered.

"When was the last time you had a good night's sleep?" he inquired.

"I forgot, but maybe when we slept at my house," I replied.
