"So... you rushed after me because you were worried about me?" I made sure.

He nodded.

I sighed and looked at his face full of fear, my hand stroked his slightly beardless jaw; for some reason, it felt so painful to see the fear in his eyes, as if he believed that this evil man would always be able to carry out his destructive actions.

"I'm sorry," he said, bending his face.

"It's okay... Just so you know, I feel like I'm very precious now," I replied with a smile. "Before no one was worried about me besides my mother, and now you... That means you always think about me..."

I giggled, then pouted at his stomach from beneath his white t-shirt. "Don't brag!"
