Raphael's umbrella was small.
The umbrella that was supposed to shelter them from the rain was not enough for two men.
Their shoulders brushed against each other, spreading warmth. One of Raphael's arms circled around Ezra's shoulder, drawing him closer. Rainwater pooled around their feet, causing their skin to turn into paler color.
The umbrella was completely useless.
The street was eerily empty, deserted, without a single person in sight, only occasional passing cars. Their view was blurred by the rain mist, and Ezra's ears were filled only with the sound of raindrops hitting the umbrella and the ground.
He never lifted his head as they walked together. Ezra only stared at the wet ground, and he flinched slightly whenever Raphael pulled him closer, saying, "Come closer, you'll get wet." It was funny, considering that Ezra's entire body was already soaked, from the top of his head to the tips of his toes.
