Alex went after a choking Lia, wondering what was wrong with her while she was adamant he didn't need to worry about her. But Alex wouldn't let her be.

He couldn't risk not knowing what was happening to her and as such, he gently rubbed her back, slowly trying to make her feel better and when the coughing stopped, he held his hands in hers and went back with her inside.

Back inside, everyone was still thinking about Mia's suggestion on Nikolai. As far as everyone knew, Nikolai Orlov was not just someone who could be summoned at any time. He wasn't just going to be there just because they wanted him.

They needed to offer him an amount that could make him take a mini-break from his boss, jay. Jay was the west of the worst in the underworld and even Garner knew that. He wasn't sure about having his family involved with the guy who could mess them up with just a keystroke.
