The meeting ended when a servant knocked in and informed them that the dinner would be served soon.

After that, Azrael excused himself to see Knox. He asked Steve where the omega might be, and then he was led by a male beta servant to the indoor garden.

As they passed the large windows in the hallways, Azrael peeked through at the night sky. The stars were still hidden, but the rain had stopped already. Although the breeze was still cold, the warm feeling seeping into the alpha's heart was immense.

One step at a time, he said to himself, sporting a small smile on his face. He managed to convince one of the biggest hindrances in his relationship, now what's left is his father.
