Kapitel 14: Pull Out

"Myrto, prepare an ice pack for my wife. Also, get the first aid kit." Myrto nodded, "Yes, sir."

Myrto left her room and obediently got an ice pack from downstairs. Narcester softly caressed her face and brushed her hair away from her face to avoid covering its beauty.

Myrto returned with an ice pack, he handed it over to Narcester and left the room. Narcester gently applied the ice pack to her face, she flinched from time to time with the pain she was feeling all over her body. "Your father did this to you, did he?" he said.

Sympathy was buried deep in his eyes.

He gently gave a light peck on her shoulder, he kissed the bruised parts of her body, "I feel sorry for you, my Avie."

He raised his head and kissed her nose. "I won't let that happen to you again." he looked at her bruised lips, her rose-colored lips. He moved close to her as they both stared intently at each other's lips.

The tension between them became more intense, the silence surrounded the room and the sounds of their breathing were only heard. Slowly, Narcester approached her lips into a kiss, he moved away slowly and looked at her flushed expression.

She turned her face sideways in an instant, embarrassed. She quickly stole a glance at him who was smiling widely, looking at her red face. "Y-You..." she stammered.

"But didn't you want it? You responded well with my tempting thought." he teased, his lips forming a smirk, his eyes gazed down at her with that mischievous glimmer in his eyes.

Certainly, she liked it, her face became redder after so, and she got caught. She hid behind the shadows of the hair that covered her face, shying away from him. He giggled softly and lifted her chin close to his face, narrowed the space and little space was close to none left.

"You're shying away, Avie. Don't be. I'll be the spear that will pierce through the one who harms you, a sword that will slit through the throats of those who mock you and I will be the shield, cause when you can't be protected by my armor anymore, I'll leave my back open for them to stab just to cover you from the falling hails of the sky." he said. Those poetic words rang through her ear like sweet honey, it felt so wonderful to hear, not even one dared to even cater her that kind of service.

He looked at her and kissed her forehead, his bright, gentle smile touched her heart as it ever felt so weak. "The more you see your bruises, the more you'll know why I call you beautiful."

She raised her head at him with confusion, she was taken aback for a moment. "What do you mean?" she asked with the visible perplexity on her face.

He smiled, he rested his hands on the bed and slanted his back, he looked skyward as his eyes glistened, reflecting the lights from the light bulbs. He looked at her with a soft smile.

"Baby, imperfections would always represent a masterpiece." he smiled.

She garnered motivation from those injunctions, how she is weak was then claimed to remember how she ignored the word he said and didn't stand up for herself.

She frowned, he looked at her, his bright smile changed into a dull expression as soon as saw her face fade into sadness.

He glared into her eyes and spoke sternly, "Why do you feel so down?"

She jolted, "I just...thought of something..." she stuttered.

"Don't let your thoughts ruin you, Avie. Can you smile for me?" he said, tilting his head, and looking at her with a stare.

"Why would you want me to?" she asked, her face showing interest. If maybe he would tell her the reason why he would like her to smile maybe, she'll come to smile and love the way her lips would form with happiness.

He scoffed, "Do you even know how beautiful you are when you smile?"

He approached her closely, he leaned over to her shoulder as his lips brushed the surface of her earlobes. "Darling, I would prick myself with thorns, drink a bottle of poison and walk off the plank to drown in the sea, all just to witness your smile again, my sweetheart," he whispered.

Her eyes brightened and glistened once more, the man that is right beside her, sitting on her bed is the man who might be able to pull her out of the swamps of the merciless life she has. Maybe, just maybe, he could save her from drowning herself in sorrows.

She felt that from drowning deep in the dark waters, where the sun can't even reflect beneath the waters, Narcester came to be that one beautiful light who swam and reached his hand out to her. The feeling of happiness divulged on her face, she smiled with the joy she felt from what she garnered from his sweet-savory choices of words.

He beamed seeing that beautiful sunshine smile she had on her face. "You have a knack for sugarcoating words," she said.

He chuckled, "I would always like to praise your bruises than love your imperfections, Avie. And of course, I'm Narcester Thaddeus, who do you take me for?" he said sarcastically, he lifted his chest forward, creating a silly expression on her face that earned laughter from Avyanna.

"You must be very skilled, Mr. Thaddeus." she teased, closing the space between them as she moved her face to his.

His eyes widened as his cheeks turned rosy, he smirked and kissed her nose gently, "Do you wanna know how skilled I am, Mrs. Thaddeus? We're in the right place, after all." he teased back.

Her eyes widened, it was not just a joke anymore, "W-What?" she stammered.

He chuckled, he moved away from her and smiled, "Don't worry, I won't. Not until you would want me to." he smirked.

She stood up and patted her head, "Sleep tight, ladybug." he said. 'Another endearment, eh?' she thought.

He went out of the room, closing the lights and the door, "Good night, my Avie." he smiled.

He went out of the room and his sweet expression vanished into an evil look on his face. He sat on the couch, Myrto standing in front of him, his legs crossed and his arms rested on the couch's backrest.

"You know what to do to that shit, Lanxter, do you?"

"Yes, sir." Myrto nodded.
