The night rain was relentless, and as one battle ended here, Jian Xi had just arrived at the hospital on the other side. As soon as she entered the ward, she asked, "Aunt Yang, what does the hospital need me to sign for?"

Aunt Yang had just checked on Jian Wan and was about to go back to sleep. She looked up, bewildered, "Sign for what?"

"Didn't the hospital call me to come and sign something?" Jian Xi frowned.

"I don't know about that!"

Jian Xi felt slightly uneasy and turned to find Doctor Zhou.

Doctor Zhou had just finished a surgery and was preparing to go off duty when he saw Jian Xi rushing over. He proactively asked, "Miss Jian, is there something you need?"

"Doctor Zhou, is there anything that needs my signature?" Jian Xi asked.

Doctor Zhou was taken aback, then his face broke into an understanding smile, "Your mother is recovering very well, there's no need for any signature."

"Thank you."

Jian Xi understood: she had received a fake call!
