“There are so many people,” Isaac whispered. The crowd in front of him mingled all over the first floor of the Angel Falls Hotel and Ballroom, the location of the Phoenix Industries’ Autumn Fashion Show. Every woman wore elegant floor length dresses and matching shawls, while every man wore full three-piece suits.
Well, every man but Isaac and Beck. They were in basic black suits, and Isaac considered it a victory that he was even wearing a tie.
“This is by far the fanciest place we’ve ever been,” Beck whispered back.
Isaac had to agree. It made the restaurant Sean took him to on their first date look like a sand castle.
This was just the lobby, and there was a fountain in the middle of a flower garden, surrounded by low couches and chairs. The ceiling extended above them the full height of the hotel, letting in all the natural light from above.
There was something ethereal about the atmosphere, and he understood the hotel name.
