It had been two days since Isaac unexpectedly walked half a marathon to the next town over. Sean made him call out of work for the rest of the week, and they’d spent those two days watching movies in Isaac’s apartment.
Isaac expected more of the same today, but instead Sean walked into his apartment with his wide sunglasses and a plan.
“We’re going out today,” he said. Brushing past Isaac, Sean invited himself into Isaac’s bedroom and started pulling clothes out of the closet.
“Okay…where are we going?” Isaac asked.
“That’s a surprise, but it’s going to be hot. And we might go swimming. Pack accordingly.”
Isaac blinked. “Okay…” He only somewhat helped Sean pick out his favorite cargo shorts and a tank top, and while he changed, Sean helped himself to his bookshelves. The one dark green swimsuit he owned was packed in a bag with the books.
Sean stole Isaac’s college hat and plopped it on his head. “Ready?”
“I guess.”
