Sumblum was a hunter. He knew the risks of the wild. He knew there was a good chance he wouldn't be allowed to go back home, at least not with all six of his limbs attached.
"But of all things, I had to run into you," he mumbled, staring at the four-legged creature before him.
A white creature with some black stripes. Cat like appearance and although it did belong to the feline family and was definitely cat, it was a big cat. A tiger.
Sumblum gripped his axe tighter, panting with each baited breath. When he left home early yesterday, he carefully took a path that was guaranteed to provide ample prey. But he'd been too focused on his traps to realize, he himself had fallen to the most terrifying traps of all. He was now the prey.
But hope wasn't lost. The creature may have been twice his size, but he still knew its weakness. Its stomach. The moment the cat would pounce on him, was the moment he knew he had to act.
