Kapitel 1: The Outcast

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the small tightly-knit village. Ozul, with his black hair and bright red eyes that glowed with an eerie intensity, also had cat-like pupils, he walked through the narrow streets. His tan skin, reminiscent of Aomine Daiki from 'Kuroko no Basket,' stood out amongst the pale villagers.

In a village where conformity was the key to acceptance, Ozul was an anomaly. His demon-like features and peculiar eyes made him an outcast, feared and despised by those around him.

A group of children playing nearby froze as they noticed him, their laughter dying on their lips. One of the older boys sneered and pointed at Ozul.

"Look, it's the demon! Go back to the shadows where you belong...!!"

Ozul's face remained impassive, his eyes void of any emotion. He had long learned that showing feelings only brought more torment.

Years of harsh treatment had taught Ozul to suppress his emotions. The villagers believed that if they saw him happy, it would bring misfortune upon them. And so, Ozul lived a life of solitude never daring to show his true self.

As he passed by, adults whispered behind his back, casting wary glances in his direction. Ozul ignored them, his gaze fixed on the path to his home away from the rest.

*********

The night was serene, a rare tranquility enveloping the small village. In his modest, isolated house on the outskirts, Ozul slept peacefully. The moonlight streamed through the window, casting a soft glow on his tan skin and demon-like features

For once, the night seemed kind to Ozul, allowing him a moment of peace in his otherwise tumultuous life.

As he dreamed, a sudden, harsh light pierced the darkness of his slumber. Ozul stirred, blinking his bright red eyes open. The light grew stronger, accompanied by the distant murmur of voices.

'What's happening?' Ozul thought.

Ozul rose from his bed and moved cautiously towards the window. His heart pounded as he saw a mob of villagers approaching, their faces twisted with anger and fear.

They carried knives, stakes, grimoires, and torches, the flames flickering menacingly in the night.

The villagers had reached a breaking point. They believed that eliminating Ozul, the source of their perceived misfortune, was the only way to restore their village's greatness.

He quickly dressed and stepped outside his heart racing. The mob stopped as they saw him, their eyes filled with a mix of fear and hatred.

"There he is! the demon child!"

"We have to end this now, for the sake of our village!!"

Ozul's eyes widened in disbelief as the villagers closed in on him, their intentions clear. He took a step back, then turned and ran towards the center of the village, his mind racing.

'why..?! I'm not a demon!!' Ozul thought as he sprinted through the village.

The mob pursued relentlessly. The torches cast eerie shadows on the buildings and the sound of their footsteps echoed ominously.

Fear surged through Ozul. Despite his calm exterior, the threat of imminent death shattered his composure.

He reached the middle of the village, his breath coming in ragged gasps. In his haste, he stumbled and fell, the rough cobblestones scraping his knees and hands. Before he could regain his footing, the villagers surrounded him, their weapons raised.

"This is the end for you, demon!"

"Stop..!!" Ozul yelled out.

Panic gripped Ozul as they lunged at him. In a desperate attempt to defend himself, he raised his hands, wishing for some way to protect himself. Suddenly, he felt a surge of energy, unlike anything he had ever experienced.

In that moment of desperation, Ozul's dormant powers awakened. Black flames erupted around him, their intensity amplified by the striking red lightning that danced within the fire.

The flames roared and crackled creating a terrifying spectacle of red and black

The villagers screamed in terror as the flames consumed them, and three villagers were caught in the inferno in an instant.

The smell of burning flesh and the sight of charred bodies caused the other to recoil in horror, dropping their weapons and fleeing.

"He really is the demon child,"

"I've never seen anyone been able to use two magics!!"

"He's a monster..."

"Run!!"

All the villagers ran out of the village leaving Ozul the only one there.

Ozul never meant to harm anyone, but the instinct to survive had unleashed his hidden power, causing a tragedy that would haunt him forever.

Ozul sat there on his knees trembling, the realization of what he had done sinking in.

"Aggg....hhhh" He could barely get out.

Tears filled his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away, maintaining his emotionless facade.

He watched as figures began to form from his fire, their bodies twisted and writhed before becoming eerily still.

"What is this power? I didn't mean for this to happen..." Ozul said as he stared at the red and black firey figures.

The red and black shadowy beings, now transformed by the flames, knelt in submission before Ozul, their forms a dark and eerie reflection of the fire that had claimed them.

The realization of Ozul's power dawned upon him--an ability to use black flames, that were excruciatingly hotter than any fire, and the power of flame constructs,

He was about to turn and run when a commanding voice halted him.

"What's going on here?" A big muscly man said.

The cacophony of screams and chaos reached the man, who had been investigating disturbances in the area by himself since he was bored.

Drawn by the commotion, he arrived to find the village in ruins, with Ozul standing amidst the remnants of the attack.

"What the hell happened here?" The man asked.

He surveyed the scene, noting the young boy surrounded by the eerie shadowy remains. His gaze shifted to Ozul recognizing the raw power in the black flames, and the boy's young age.

The man walked up to Ozul who had been on guard.

"Woah, you're ok," The man said letting Ozul stop his magic, however, some of the fire remained as it continued to destroy the village.

"You're pretty young, how old are you?" The man asked Ozul

"...Thirteen..." Ozul hesitantly answered.

"Thirteen... and to wield such destructive power without a grimoire."

The man approached cautiously, his expression a mix of curiosity and concern. Ozul, still shaken and confused, looked up at Sami.

"What happened?" The man asked.

"They attacked me, because they think I'm a demon, but... I'm not!!" Ozul exclaimed as he looked into the man his eyes.

"I know... You... You've got potential, and you don't belong here," The man said.

Ozul looked at him, confused.

"What are you saying...?"

"My name's Yami, I'm the captain of the Black Bulls, you should come with me," Yami said.

"Captain..." Ozul heard about the captains of the magic knights, they are one the strongest beings in the world.

"But... aren't you scared of me?" Ozul asked as he knew that his appearance was very demon-like.

"No, How could I be scared of someone weaker than me, you aren't a demon, there's nothing to worry about," Yami said smiling as he put his hand on his sword.

Ozul looked at Yami skeptically before letting his guard down a little.

"Fine... I'll go with you..." Ozul said.

"Good," Yami said smiling.

Yami guided Ozul away from the burning village, the boy's eyes lingering on the destruction left behind. Yami's presence offered a small but significant comfort as they flew on Yami's broom together, leaving the chaos of the village behind.

"We have to go pick up two other people so we can go to our base," Yami said making Ozul nod

Yami gave him a reassuring small smile, with a cigarette in his mouth, signaling the start of a new chapter. With the black bulls awaiting, Ozul faced the future with a cautious but hopeful heart.
