Kapitel 14: Chapter 14

People started to come and yes there's a lot of them. I helped Clyde and Fred to prepare the meat. They started to cook while I helped Jocelyn to bring the drinks out. After that I sat for a while to rest because I'm damn tired.

Grandma walked to me giving a lemonade, I smiled at her.

"Happy birthday again, grandma."

"You said that a lot already." She said as she patted my shoulder and gestured to me to sit down. I drank it all in one go. I met a lot of grandma's friends and basically all the neighbours here.

"Mr. Baskin, this is my fiance, Beverly." Clyde introduced me.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Baskin."

"Just call me Ted and it's nice to meet you too, Beverly." After that, Clyde talked to him for a moment and then excused himself. We walked into the house and sat down on the sofa.

"You tired?" I asked as I turned to him and he nodded.
