"But how do you feel now?" 

Ayensi asked but his tone was suggesting that he already knew the answer, and he's correct.

"I no longer care about the treasures or my family who I already forgot."

Hailee replied, her voice was filled with emotion.

"Why is that?"

Ayensi teased which Hailee clutched onto his clothes tightly. With a muffled voice, she replied.

"You already know that."

"What? Why would I know that? I don't even know if that's a good thing or not." Ayensi feigned stupidity.

"Hmm..." Hailee pouted for a while before answering, "It's because you're here. I don't need anyone anymore."

"That makes me happy but, don't be like that."

Ayensi's words threw Hailee off-guard.

"What?"

What does that mean? Was the question Hailee wanted to ask but she was filled with anxiety that she was unable to continue her question.
