The court case

Day 6: 9 am

Caleb Carter

Everyone was sitting in the courtroom. It was now the turn of Caleb Carter to tell her story to the court. Caleb sat nerved he hoped he didn’t screw this up for Avery, they’d all got different lawyers. He took the stand he had been in a briefed from his solicitor for four two last night to go through whatwas to be expected off him in court and to go through his story of events once again before calling it a day and heading home. Mr. Jennings had spoken briefly about what to exparct from the other two lawyers; Mr. Harfard and Mr. Greeves qui was sly and would stop at anything to make his plaintiffs look the good guys and him the bad guy. ‘So Mr. Carter. today I would like to talk to you about Mr. Thompson amd Mr Benson.’ He looked at Caleb through his ice coloured eyes and his big dark eyebrows. ‘I believe that you and Mr. Benson are related?’

‘Objection your honour.’

‘Overruled continue Mr. Greeves.’
