Kapitel 57: Love
Moonlight shines and reflects off the azure water of a waterfall. The light emitted by the purple flowers and the fireflies makes the place beautiful. The environment is reminiscent of an enchanted forest, a haven for the flora and fauna that inhabit it.
This place is a utopia for the animals and plants that go there and for a couple—a young and a young woman, both naked as in the garden of God. The only thing they wear is a ring on their left ring finger.
Their clothes are on a rock a little further. Yet, strangely, their clothes are all folded and neatly put away.
The man and woman are lying on a red sheet in each other's arms under the branches of a tree. The woman has her eyes closed, basking in the man's arms, her head resting on her lover's chest. The man is resting on his right arm and gently stroking his partner's dark hair.
"I wish this moment lasted forever." declares the woman opening her eyes. These eyes are purple. They merge with magnificent amethysts.
"Me too, Yen." The man smiles at the woman named Yen. He straightens up and lands against a tree just behind him. He carries the woman and brings her closer to him, positioning her head against his chest.
The woman shows no resistance and lets herself be carried by her partner.
"Saibus, I've been wondering for a while now." Yennefer said, raising her head and looking at Saibus.
"What is she?" Saibus answers are waiting for Yen's question.
"Why do I feel such powerful magic all over the area? There wasn't such an amount the last time I was here, two years ago," asks Yennefer with a specific curiosity.
Saibus looks around for a moment before returning his gaze to Yennefer.
"You remember the protection that Grandmother Hecate placed in the forest of Eden."
"Of course, that spell made us walk for hours on end for nothing. She even taught me that when I asked her." Yennefer said before realizing where Saibus was going.
Saibus sees this and continues his explanation.
"Yes, I used the same spell but modified it a bit with Hecate's help. I also added other spells that prevent teleportation and locating this location as well as espionage. I have cast a minimum of twenty spells to make this place our piece of heaven. "
"You've worked a lot to make this place our home, and I thank you for that."
Saibus does not say anything and looks at Yennefer, he notices that she wants to tell him that she does that thing but does not know how to approach it.
He strokes her cheek. "Yen, if you have something to tell me, tell me, you know I'll always be with you even in the worst times."
Yennefer hesitates for a few seconds but finally makes up his mind. She breathes and looks seriously at Saibus.
"Sai, you remember when you asked me what I was doing with Grandma Hecate." Saibus nods to say he remembers it and lets Yennefer continue.
"I told you we were doing a lot of things that are trying to merge the magic and technology of the Isus. Well, I haven't told you the whole truth. The main thing we do is try to surrender. my ability to have children. " Yennefer sadly ends and waits for Saibus to react.
"You are sterile?" Saibus said as an affirmation and a question.
Yennefer nods, she feels Saibus stroking her hair as if to reassure her.
"Why didn't you tell me?" asks Saibus.
"I wanted to do this when I was fertile again but since we are now married, I didn't want to hide it from you anymore."
"Well, I understand. Know that I'm glad you told me and that doesn't diminish my love for you." Saibus said quietly.
"On the other hand, I can ask you how you knew it, it is not something that one can know so easily. Obviously, if you do not want to answer you can, I do not force you to do anything." Saibus declares without forcing because he knows that it is a sensitive subject.
"No, it's okay, it's good that you know why I'm sterile.
"Why?" Saibus responds without thinking too much.
"Yes, why because I was not born sterile, I became so while studying at Aretuza." Saibus goes to say something but is interrupted by Yennefer who puts a finger to his mouth to make him understand that he has to listen.
"The principal who is also my mentor, Tissaia de Vries, is against the hereditary sharing of magic. She therefore enforced a regulation which stipulates that all students, whether male or female, be sterilized."
"So it is because of your learning of magic that you are sterile and not the use of the latter."
"No, because otherwise, you wouldn't be here with me." Yennefer retorts, smiling.
"You're not wrong," Saibus said with a small smile.
"I'm glad you took this news pretty well. I had imagined several things one of them is that you get mad and do something dangerous."
"No, I won't do that for this news. I know how much it hurts you so I don't do that sort of thing.
"I'm glad you said that. Thank you for being with me and loving me.
Yennefer then initiates a chaste kiss on the lips of Saibus who does the same.
After this kiss, Saibus and Yennefer got up and washed in the waterfall. While they wash, Yennefer asks Saibus about the spells he used to isolate the area. Saibus explains that he used spells to isolate the area from everyone, that only specific people can locate and teleport here, that he also set a lot of traps that activate when the detection spells detect an intruder…
The two also had fun in the water and made the most of the moment. After cleaning themselves, they got dressed and returned to their rooms in Eden through the portal they had borrowed.

Saibus and Yennefer are currently warm, under the covers of their beds. The two are in the middle of a mundane conversation. It has now been several hours since they returned. An orange light seeps through the fine fabrics of the bed which cut them off from the outside world.
Yennefer notices the light.
"Sai, look, the dawn is here, the sun is showing its colors. We have to get up, finally get out of bed. We have been chatting all night after all.
Saibus then looks at the sunlight and accepts.
"Well, I'd rather stay warm with you under the covers, but I have a mission to do."
The two lovers get out of bed and kiss.
"I love you Yen / Sai."
