-Next day
Kenichi slapped himself, removed any weariness from himself, tightened the belt around his gi, and then slip opened the door to the training room where all the masters and Ohma sat together in wait for him.
"So you came," Akisame said, "So now we officially start, you advance technique."
First was Karate.
"First up, Karate," Sakaki said while standing opposite to Kenichi, "try punching me."
"Yes, sensei," Kenichi said taking his stance then he launched his fists from near his hips.
[ Karate: Seiken ]
Kenichi's push was fast but Sakaki was faster. He parried the punch with his forearm and without a break in motion brought his hands up strike Kenichi's chin with his wrist, but then he suddenly stopped, an inch before the contact and a gust of wind from the strike blew his hair back.
[ Karate: Kakushu ]
"Kakuto, reinforce your hand by pushing your thumb into your fingertips and joining them together. Extended the wrist forward and downward." Sakaki said. "You block your opponent's strike downward then you use your blocking hand to land a crane neck blow to your opponent's chin, or throat if you want more damage. This crane neck blow or Kakushu for short."
Kenichi to a moment to recover before he asked, "But what's its use?"
"From now on, you'll be fighting multiple opponents at the same time more often," Sakaki said, "You'll not be able to handle them if devote both your arms to only one opponent. Remember to master it, condition your wrist, keep your hand solid, bounce with the block and your movement fluid. When this technique has the same power as your uppercut, that will mean you have mastered it."
Next was Muay Thai.
"Next is Apachai's technique."
Kenichi and Apachai stood opposite each other. Then Apachai smiled wryly, "Sorry, if you die... I don't think you'll survive this."
Kenichi then tried to make a run for it but Akisame grabbed him. "Since it's truly dangerous, I'll face him instead."
'Alright, this is the first time I can see them actually fighting,' Ohma's eyes widened as they began.
"Here I come, Apachai." With that Akisame lunged forward with a punch. Apachai moved to the side as parried the punch with his forearm then spun on the ball of his feet to deliver a spinning back elbow.
[ Muay Thai: Sok Klap ]
But Akisame reacted in time, brought his hand to the back of his neck, palm forward to pad the force of the blow. The air exploded around them as the elbow made contact.
"That was a deadly blow," Sakaki said, "If that was Kenichi, he would be dead for sure."
"Don't say such things!" Kenichi screamed.
"So who is next," Akisame asked as he flapped his pain.
'Guess, even with this level they are not invincible after all.' Ohma thought. 'But is it the same for a Legendary Grandmaster?'
"It's my turn," Kensei said getting up, "Ohma, would be kind enough to help in this demonstration."
Ohma got up. "Why not... show me what you got."
"This technique is for tight situations where you don't have the necessary range to use your fists," Kensei said as Ohma got near him.
"Bring you both hands forward, keep one up and the other down to not stick out your shoulder blades," Kensei said then lunged forward, then stopped with a stomp, his other leg extended, then slammed his back and shoulder against Ohma, sending him flying. Ohma spun in mid-air and brought his feet down on the ground, but the sheer force
[ Wushu: Iron Mountain Lean ]
"Almost got me," Ohma said as he got up.
Kensei smiled, "Iron Mountain Lean, draw power with your stomp and slam with your back. Used this to push away opponents, ram them against a wall, and topple them like dominos if they are in a group. This technique has many applications, depending on different situations."
"Excellent Kensei," Akisame said, "Now it's my turn. Kenichi comes here."
"Alright, I am ready," Kenichi said as Akisame began.
"Began with a chop as I thought you. Throw your body weight with a strike from the edge of your palm." Akisame said as he chopped forward on Kenichi's head.
Kenichi instinctively blocked the chop.
"Grab the opponent's wrist with a chopping hand and move to the side of the hand the opponent used to block," Akisame said moving to the side, "stick close to not give him the range to counter with a strike, but not enough to give a grabbing chance, then punch him on the side with the other hand and then twist the wrist you grabbed."
Kenichi screamed in pain as Akisame twisted his wrist after lightly punching him on the side.
"Pull his arm forward while twisting it as you push the opponent down. Deliver another chop on the back head with your free hand and strike him with a knee to the face. You can chop after the knee or interchangeably, depending on the situation. Do any variation you just need to knock him out."
He grabbed Kenichi's arm, pulled it forward, twisting it, as he pushed him down, then delivered a chop to the back of the head and struck him with a knee on the face.
"Then grab him by the back of the shirt then hip toss. Keep your hold on the arm."
He said grabbed Kenichi by the back of his shirt and tossed him aside onto the ground.
"Then completely suppress with your foot by pressing him down," Akisame said as he slammed his foot between Kenichi's legs, "then comes the final killing blow to the back of head or face."
Then he completed the combo by slamming his fist on the floor missing Kenichi's face by an inch.
[ Jiujutsu: Falling Leaf ]
"Falling Leaf," Akisame said. "This technique has four deadly blows, from start to finish, use it when you fight an opponent who blocks your every strike and beat him quickly by switching to grappling."
"Is it finally over?" Kenichi asked as he got up.
"It's my turn," Shigure said getting up.
"Hold on, Shigure," Akisame said, "Four advance techniques are enough for now."
"Thank you." Kenichi sighed as he thought, 'Would I be able to learn all of this? I don't really have any talent.'
"It's alright," Akisame said, "You don't need any talent. We'll analyze your movements thoroughly and teach you bit by bit."
"Don't read my mind, please!" Kenichi said.
Then Akisame turned to him, "So repeat these moves, 1000 times."
"Seriously?!" Kenichi backed off.
Ohma sighed as he got up, "Not me, I am going to join the new training from tomorrow. I am just going to meditate for now."
Sakaki snickered, "What happened, brat? Getting lazy?"
"No, I fight tonight," Ohma said, "the opponent is strong they said and I need to be in my peak form."
"Is that so," Akisame raised his brow, "Who are you fighting? What style does he practise?"
"I don't know. The organisers at the Beatdown kept it a secret."
"Beatdown...huh..." Akisame face turned a bit serious.
Just then the door to the training room slid open and Miu peeked through. "Koetsuji-san, you have a customer in your clinic."
"Ah, yes," Akisame nodded, "Itsuki Takeda had an appointment today."
With that, he stood to leave but not before giving a look to Ohma.

"Your movements have improved tremendously," Akisame said grabbing Takeda's arm.
Takeda smiled, "All thanks to you...." Then his smile turned a bit grim. "Sensei..."
"You are worried about something? Some doubts?" Akisame asked, "You can confine them in me if you want."
Takeda looked down as moments passed away, he took a deep breath then said, "Going through all this pain, to get treated and putting my body back together. Then breaking it again in a fight... I don't know what I am actually doing at this point."
Akisame stood facing away from him, he replied as he drowned a dry towel in a small tub of warm water.
"When a person is born, he dies, sooner or later," Akisame said, "Then it would be better to be not born at all... I thought like this before. But then again I realised I thought of life as a miserable struggle and lived like a miserable struggler. Life as a journey is what you make of it, how you live in it, like a miserable struggler fighting against everything or moving past everything with grace."
"It's alright, I am not that depressed, just regretting some life choices," Takeda said, "I don't mind if my body breaks inside a boxing ring. But I'll have to go through a deserter lynching."
"You sound like you are depressed and cornered. Just give up then," Akisame said turning to him the wet towel, "If you have already given up mentally while still having the power to fight back."
Takeda snapped, "You don't how ruthless those bastards are... I know... I was a part of them."
Akisame then said, "and you can't fight back?"
"I mean..." Takeda said, "I am one... They are many... if my arm was fully healed... then maybe."
Akisame suddenly grabbed his arm and a jolt of energy and heat ran through it like electricity that then throughout his body.
"What the hell?!" Takeda screamed retreating his arm as Akisame released it. Then he realized, there was no discomfort in his arm, a feeling long almost forgotten, a feeling before the injury.
"Don't be so happy now, it's just a temporary buff." Akisame said, "Your arms would be back to the treatment condition when you wake up tomorrow. Until then, use it to fight back. There are many in this world for whom circumstances have made it impossible to fight back, you are not one of them."

-10 pm
The crowd gathered at the old beatdown building, shouting and screaming, blocked by the metal barricade, around the barbed-wired ring illuminated by spotlights from above. The crowd was only at three sides of the square ring because the fourth side was reserved for the tree commentators behind who sat behind the table with their mikes, closely looked after by the surrounding guards.
Ohma stood straight looking forward, there was movement in the crowd ahead of him, he saw the head of a figure pushing through the crowd, moving towards him, aiming for him. When the figure was near and Ohma could see his features behind the front row crowd, a leg appeared out of the crowd and slammed on the barricade, bending it down. Then he suddenly jumped, flying across the barbed wires and landed inside the ring. He had dark eyes and was around 6'3 foot tall with bulging muscles, a flat nose and an overall squarish face, looking to be in his early twenties.
"And THERE IT IS, ladies and gentlemen!" the match
announcer shouted with what could only be described as
genuine glee, his voice crackling over the worn speakers around the area. "The young Iron, Funada! Against an unknown 17-year-old pro. What would be the result of this fight? Place your bets and find out."
'Age restriction in fights.' Ohma thought. 'How would they react if they were my real age?'
Funada said nothing as approached Ohma. They both entered each other's striking range when the bell rang they made their move. Funada was swift and started with a snap low kick, Ohma was quick to react and blocked with his shin.
"Did you all see that?! Did you see that speed!" The speakers echoed.
Ohma and Funada were to make their next move but just then a voice shouted.
"STOP!" A voice resounded and all movements within the ring ceased. A heavy pressure enveloped the room, something Ohma had felt before.
'An Expert rank fighter.'
The front crowd parted away in two; making a path as a figure strolled through. He wore thick dark glasses and carried a figure which was around 7 feet tall. He had a middle-aged face, but with strong muscles popping under his Italian suit.
"This is an unexpected event..." The announcer's voice said as loud cheers rose from the crowd.
"Boss..." Funada muttered.
"Everyone here knows him by different titles. He is the current general manager of World Pro Wrestling. In 1992, he won the heavyweight championship in the seventh edition of NWL and gave wrestling its most famous fights." The announcer said. "In 1995, he showed the world that wrestlers aren't just actors by fighting World Heavyweight Champion Carlos Gray and Olympic Judo legend William Heska. He is the president of the Beatdown, One Eyed Storm, Unbreakable Kiba."
He said nothing and lunged between Ohma and Funada as they both backed away. Then he turned to the crowd and shouted, "I know you are here, Koetsuji. Come out now."
Ohma reacted and turned to the crowd as Akisame came out of it into the clear path, dressed in his regular outfit.
"Akisame..." Ohma muttered.
"So you know this guy?" Kiba caught onto it.
Akisame then said, "It's been some time Kiba."
"Indeed it has been," Kiba said before turning to Ohma, "I knew this guy since High School and soon after graduation, we decided to have a long-delayed private meeting inside a wrestling ring. Soon the white ring turned to a red sea of blood with deafening sounds of flesh being struck, when it all ended, Koetsuji escaped with a broken collar bone and as for me -"
He took off his glasses then inserted his fingers around his left eye socket and pulled his eye out. A fake glass eye gleamed under the light on his hand.
"- I lost my left eye."
