Kapitel 161: A Slaughterhouse (2)

Robert was impatient as do the other people chained inside this chamber.

However, for the sake of being free, he doesn't mind.

Even if he needed to wait here in this position, he wouldn't mind as long as he was freed.

Fueled with the hope of freedom, he could endure anything.

Once the academy hunters stepped in, he was tensed but happy at the same time, it seemed his freedom was near. A moment later, he thought, soon enough he would be freed and could return to his home and society.

All of that, however, disappeared when he heard a disturbing sound that echoed across the chamber.

Following that closely was a heavy, thudding sound that made his heart skip a beat.

Despite how silent the chamber was, the prisoners in the back couldn't hear these sounds.

Robert, on the other hand, who was at the very front of the line—could hear it clearly.

"W- What was that?" He stuttered whisperingly. "It doesn't sound right…"
