Kapitel 8: Cp 8
Both Yoonho and Mori stood at the forefront of hundreds of Hunters, all staring at the huge blue gate in front of them.
Behind Yoonho stood the elites of his Guild. All of them clad in the most expensive armor. The Hunter's each sporting a serious expression.
"What am I doing here?" Fatty whispered from behind Mori, wearing his iconic shitty armor and great shield combo.
"You're fucking with the ambiance Fatty. Stay quiet." Mori whispers back, not turning around.
Of course on Mori's side only Fatty could be seen. He can't really bring a bunch of weaklings to such a gate.
"Let's go." Yoonho nods to the agent at the side before he takes his first step into the dungeon. Jin Mori next to him and the legion behind.
What greeted their sights after entering was an extremely dark cave system. "Mages." Yoonho calmly speaks up as four mages activate a spell, causing four balls of light to float above the army.
'Hm...' Mori scrunches his eyes in thought. "Do you feel that?" He asks, turning to Yoonho, who nods in response.
"The mana of this gate is all being pulled towards somewhere." Yoonho explains as both he and Mori nods at each other. "Ready!" He commands as the team becomes combat ready. He himself activates his ability, causing his hair to turn white and he grows claws.
Not losing out, Mori activates his Monkey King mode and summons Ruyi Jingu. Slowly, they start moving forward, cautious about every angle as they had never seen mana move in such a bazar way.
After a few minutes of walking, Mori stops them with a raised hand. "There's something ahead." He whispers before the whole team creeps forward. Not long after they spot the 'thing'. The walls are littered with purple paint and corpses strewn throughout the cave's floor.
"The fuck..." Mori mutters as he walks to the nearest corpse. What laid before him could only be described as a huge mantis missing its head.
"Were there any other entries to the dungeon before us?" Yoonho questions after he walked up to Mori's side and looked at the dead mantis.
Looking at the wounds on it's body, Mori squints. "These wounds... It's all extremely precise cuts. There isn't a single deviation from the blade's movements as it cut this monster." Mori explains as he stood up. "Be on the lookout for anyone suspicious. I'm thinking there must have been someone who entered the gate illegally."
Yoonho nods with a serious expression on his face, realizing the danger this posed to them. There are Hunters in the world who doesn't only hunt monsters. Inside of a gate There are many enemies. "Move on." Yoonho commands, dismissing his thoughts.
Following that encounter, the team saw many more corpses, causing them to tense up more as they never saw any indications of humans traveling through here.
"Must be someone skilled..." Yoonho mutters, walking past the corpse of yet another mantis before the whole team stopped as a faint sound travelled to their ears.
*Crunch*
"What was that?" Mori whispers as he crouches down and looks ahead. They had been walking for what felt like an hour, so they were close to the source that pulled all the mana. Closing his eyes, Mori frowns before opening them back up, revealing a golden shimmer as his eyes change color.
*Crunch*
His eyesight improves and he looks ahead to where he heard the sound, but what he saw shook him to his core. a Giant mantis, twice the size of what they saw previously, was eating the head of another mantis.
Suddenly the mantis' movements stop before dropping the unfinished head of his prey.
*Snap*
The mantis turns to Mori's direction and vanishes.
"Fuck." Mori mutters before turning around. "Watch ou-!" His words stop as the mantis appeared behind the team and sliced the head off of a mage before stuffing it in his mouth.
"Shit! Move out of the way! He's targeting the weaker Hunters!" Yoonho screams as he rushes to where the mantis is, shoving his guild members out harm's way.

Meanwhile on the outside of the gate stood the agents, securing the perimeter. "Sir." One agent jumps in fright, straightening his posture as Go Gunhee walked into the scene.
"How long have they been in there?" Gunhee questions the agent, looking at the gate. He couldn't put his finger on this foreboding feeling he had, so he decided to come check thing out.
"Uhh..." The agent looks at his phone before answering. "Almost an hour sir!"
Gunhee nods before sensing another fluctuation from the gate. His eyes snap open before he yells out. "Get the measuring device now!"
Not questioning the chairman's words, the agent pulls out a measuring device before pointing it at the gate. He gulps, shakenly turning to the chairman before stuttering out the words. "It's S-Rank sir."

Yoonho blocks the mantis' blade that was aimed for his head. His arm dripping blood as multiple cuts were present.
"Fucking hell!" He bellows, swinging his claws at the mantis, only for it to cling against it's exoskeleton. But the force of the strike was more than enough to send it back a few feet.
Panting, Yoonho carefully watches the mantis, waiting for it's next move, who turns it's head, looking at a Hunter a few meters away from it. "Oh no you don't!" Yoonho yells, striking the mantis once more.

"Fuck!" Mori cursed as he watched Yoonho struggle against the mantis. He would've jumped in by now, but his options are limited. The cave they are in right now is extremely narrow, so with the chaos the weaker Hunters are in right now makes it even more troublesome to move around.
And it's not like Mori can send them away because they don't know what else is within this gate. Plus the mantis is currently blocking the way back.
"Fuck. Think Mori. Think." Mori mutters, still being pushed by the fearing Hunters.
"Everyone calm down!" a Female voice reaches everyone's ears, causing them to stop and look in the direction it came from.
Hearing the voice, Yoonho, who was still fighting the mantis, smirked.
There she stood. Hair white as snow. Two pointy fox ears above her head.
'Queue the love song.' Mori thought as he stared at her blue eyes. 'I just died in your arms toni-'
"You fuckers are blocking Jin Mori!" She bellowed as the hunters made way for him.
"Thanks." Mori smiled stupidly before jumping into the fight. Slamming his fist into the mantis' head, Mori glanced at Yoonho. "Who's that?" He asks, ducking down as Yoonho's claws slash at the mantis, sending it over Mori, who caught it's leg before swinging the monster to the ground.
Panting, Yoonho looks at the relaxed Mori. "I see you've met my daughter." Yoonho nods and punches the monster Mori threw to him back to Mori, perplexed on how the tides turned this easily.
"Daughter?! You never had a daughter." Mori said, the monster in a body lock as Mori rains down punches. 'Did he have a daughter in the book..? I don't know. Anyway, this thing's exoskeleton is hard as fuck.'
"Haha..." Yoonho awkwardly scratches his head. "It was before I awakened. I was a bastard of a teen."
"Oh." Mori nods. "Well then let's get this over with." He says, tensing his muscles, causing multiple cracks to form on the mantis' body.
*Crack. Craaack.*
"Kieeeeee!" The mantis shrieks its last words before his body twists and breaks in unnatural positions.
