i read till chapter 20. wow! talk about courtroom drama. i felt like i was watching tv. the suaveness and rhetoric... m-hm! and each chapter is super long! more than twice the length of the usual chinese stories. love it. i dont feel cheated if i have to spwnd fp or coin to read the next chapter. (Read till ch 70) Firstly this story has excellent translation quality with nice depiction of scenes without any annoying errors unlike many translations out there. Now coming to story, personally I have really enjoyed some of cases fought on mc's personal ability and little help from mystical ability from transmigration. Although there are some plot holes in the character development of mc considering his past especially his habit of hitting many of beautiful women except that story is quite nice. I especially loved all the chapters of cases fought even though they had some of stupid moments from opposition of underestimating mc or belittling him with speech and then routine face slapping but overall cases were decent enough. Due to its shortcomings but still overall nice story, excellent translation quality and regular update schedule till now(100+ chs), this deserves a solid 4.5 stars 😁
The first 2 chapters already annoy me. How did Mc go from a confident laywer to a beta bitch that is obedient in front of Xia Quanque or whatever her shitty name was. Like, bruh, I haven't read many chapters yet, and I can already tell that females are extremely unlikable. No normal person fall in love with a female who use abuse as a love language unless you are a simp, retard or have mental issues. The law scene might be good, but if the characters are shit, what is the point.
I just started this because the idea intrigued me of a "system" of law. However, I just got to ch. 21 and so far am NOT going to continue it. There was some hope for the plot with a MC who wants to live with no regrets and tries not to be a simp, but ultimately is one. The hopefully not, FL, is abusive and stupid mixed with some ignorance. Though some might say she is naive or innocent that is still no excuse to rush into things when you've gone to school fornit. Maybe this is some comedic trope, but it lands on the 80s/90s comedic styling of some anime where the FL BASHES the ML and the audience is supposed to laugh at the slapstick humor borderline abuse. As it goes the author seems to have taken an interesting idea and has filled it with common mundane tropes.

A lot of legal blah blah blah, however it is based in reality. Romance is very slow burn, ML is... jaded on family and romance. So far, good read
skip chapter 163 it's a repost of the first chapter. Quality translation, long chapters, lots of legalese, overall a good story so far. A bit slow on the romance front and the lead male borders on scummy but the author manages to make it funny instead of off putting

I read the MTL. It's pretty good, a bit of harem-ish elements but there's no polygamy. Law scenes are slightly unrealistic for dramatic purposes, but definitely a good novel for what normally appears here. Easily the best for this selection.
