Lucian raised his hand and back his fingers brushed Katie's face gently.

"No one is here," Lucian said. His thumb pressed on her lower lip. With another hand he rubbed her arm, to help her get rid of her nervousness.

Lucina was about to press his lips on Katie's lips when his eyes narrowed. He whipped his head to the side and saw a shadow lurking near the corner of the staircase.

"Stay here," Lucian said and walked towards the stairs.
