Kapitel 8: 008 Thor, why are you still the God of Hammers?

**Between the stars!**

Asgard shone with unprecedented brilliance at that moment.

Enveloped by the World Tree, it appeared more magnificent and unparalleled, as if this was its true form!

The Aesir gods inherited from the ancient god Gaia, as did the World Tree.

When the true king appeared, the World Tree and the divine realm naturally responded.

According to legend, when Ragnarok descends, the World Tree will also burn and fall for this reason.

**In the sky.**

A seven-colored halo glowed behind Balder, with white feathers faintly falling around him, as he walked down step by step, under everyone's gaze.

The Goddess of Death, Hela, had long shed her heavy armor, wearing a green long dress never seen before, following behind like a maid with her head slightly lowered.

When he stepped onto the Bifrost, the vision behind Balder disappeared, and the silver door in the sky dispersed.

He looked at the emotional Odin and spoke:

"Father, I am back."

This sentence carried unimaginable power.

Odin's eyes almost instantly welled up with tears.

At this moment, this old man looked nothing like a king, but simply a father.

"It's good that you're back!"

Odin gave his now-grown youngest son a heavy hug, then reluctantly let go.

He didn't ask whether he succeeded, as the previous vision had already explained everything.

At this point, he also saw Hela, his mouth twitching, unsure of what to say.

Hela naturally noticed this.

She first glanced at her brother, who was also her god lord.

Seeing him nod slightly, she stepped forward and said plainly:

"Father."

Although she no longer hated Odin, she had no affection left either.

If he weren't the King of the Gods, she wouldn't have spoken.

Odin could see the truth, but even so, he was satisfied. It was far better than hatred.

Suddenly he thought of something and looked at Balder with some concern:

"You came directly into the real dimension; won't Eternity see this as a provocation?"

Asgard wasn't a minor power.

Their historical records included parts of the universe's truth, and he knew some secrets.

For example, most Dimensional Gods could hardly come directly into the real world.

They either secretly seduced believers, crafted tricky contracts, or planted their symbols secretly in some life forms.

All were done in secret.

As a Dimensional God, Balder came out so easily, that Odin thought it had to do with the close connection between the Nine Realms.

But coming out so freely might be seen as a provocation by Eternity.

After all, most Dimensional Gods coveted the universe's essence.

He thought his son might have the same intention.

As if seeing through Odin's worries, Balder smiled and explained:

"No need to worry, Father."

"I'm merely walking as an incarnation of my will, carrying only the power of a single universe, it won't cause any trouble."

"Besides, I have no intention of coveting the universe's essence. This time, I planned to meet Eternity, as there are some matters to discuss."

Odin nodded, not asking why.

Since his son had already decided, it must have been well thought out.

Balder didn't intend to explain further.

He glanced at the palace, then back at Odin with some confusion:

"Where are Thor and Loki, where did they go?"

He could sense that the two brothers weren't in Asgard.

Hearing this, Odin's face changed instantly, blurting out:

"Oh no, I almost forgot about them!"

**Jotunheim!**

Thor carried the wounded Fandral on his back, frantically fleeing with Sif and others beside him.

Behind them, a horde of Frost Giants was in hot pursuit, their scarlet eyes filled with madness and killing intent.

If caught, their fate would be grim.

Loki was also with the group.

His face was pale, completely unable to understand why things had turned out this way.

In the beginning, the plan was entirely under control.

Find the Frost King, provoke him, start a fight to break the old agreement, and then fall into a desperate situation.

All of this had happened perfectly.

But... where was the crucial rescue from Asgard?

Hadn't he left a flaw for Heimdall to notice before leaving?

Could this guy really be ignoring them, not fearing that they might all be wiped out?

That damned gatekeeper, had he gone blind?

Loki panted heavily, cursing inwardly.

He thought he could hold on for another ten minutes at most, after which he wouldn't be able to run anymore.

Just then, a deafening roar erupted from behind.

The group looked back to see a several-hundred-meter-long ice dragon flying out of a chasm!

The Frost King was truly enraged!

Sif's face turned white, and she shouted at Thor:

"Thor, it's up to you!"

After all, he had recently killed a giant frost monster; perhaps he could handle this one too.

Hearing this, Thor glanced back.

Seeing the ice dragon's size made his scalp tingle, and he quickened his pace!

Fandral, who was on Thor's back, managed a grim smile and said to Sif:

"I guess Thor's advice might be to run faster than Loki."

Sif screamed, "This is not the time for jokes!"

Volstagg nodded heavily:

"I think that's a good suggestion."

With that, the big guy turned and hoisted the stumbling Loki onto his shoulder, then strode forward.

Though he didn't think much of Loki.

As a warrior of Asgard, if he outran the prince, Odin would grind him and his entire family into dust.

The group's escape speed noticeably increased!

But it was useless; the sound of the giant ice dragon's wings beating was getting closer, carrying a terrifying sense of death.

Loki, slung over Volstagg's shoulder, saw the ice dragon's body becoming clearer.

That ferocious head, huge exposed fangs.

And... the blue breath lighting up deep in its throat as it roared!!!

"We're doomed, we're going to die!"

At this moment, Loki deeply regretted it.

Seeing the approaching breath, he suddenly realized one thing.

In the face of death, the throne of Asgard and his father's approval seemed insignificant.

His cleverness would kill him, Thor, and everyone else!

Thor clearly sensed the danger behind!

"Keep running, don't stop!"

He threw Fandral off his back, gripped Mjolnir, roared with thunder wrapped around him, and turned to charge at the deadly breath!

Seeing this sacrificial act, Loki's eyes immediately reddened.

Regret and despair were about to devour his soul!

The others stopped too, picking up their weapons to fight desperately.

Just then.

A distinctly exasperated voice suddenly rang out of thin air:

"So stupid, Thor."

"A thousand years, and you're still the God of Hammers?"

The next second, everyone saw a blond man with black eyes suddenly appear out of nowhere in front of the deadly breath.
