Kapitel 33: Chapter 33

Beth’s POV

I drifted to my sleep with Aaron after our small talk.

"Mommy?" A tiny voice whispers, waking me up.

"What?" I mumble, rolling over and pressing my face into my pillow, not having the energy to even look up. All I want to do is get back to sleep, but apparently, whoever this tiny voice belongs to doesn’t want me to fall back into my dream.

"Come on, Momma," the voice whispers again, tugging on the sleeve of my t shirt. "I had a bad dream."

That makes me sit up, and, rubbing my eyes with my fists, I blink quickly, trying to adjust to the dimly lit room. Heath is standing beside my side of the bed, clutching a long blue quilt in one hand and a teddy in the other, his Spiderman pajamas rumpled and his hair an adorable little mess. He’s looking at me with wide eyes, blinking in the faint glowing of the rising sun, and my heart melts.
