Kapitel 17: Chapter Sixteen: Maybe a break can patch things up?
'Hey Rose, give me your cellphone.' Scorpius asked his friend excitedly.
Rose looked at him in confusion. 'Do you even know how to use it?'
'Just give it to me.' Rose fished her phone from her pocket for she wanted her friend to stop whining like a child. She wondered what got him so excited.
Scorpius took the phone typed something and then clicked his selfie, to which Rose asked, 'What are you doing?'
'Saving my picture for the caller ID.' Rose took her phone back and checked what he was talking about. Scorpius had saved his number on her phone.
'Whose number is this?' She asked.
He took out a cellphone from his pocket and flashed it to her. 'Tada!'
'You got a phone?' Rose couldn't help but be amused by it.
'My girlfriend gifted it to me.' He said proudly. 'It's a pre-birthday gift.'
Rose nodded her head in understanding smiling at her friend who was also blushing. Just then lily entered the living room. Albus had called Scorpius and Rose over to the Potter house so all of them could go to the vacation together.
'Ahh....showing off, are we?' Lily said as she noticed the phone in Scorpius's hand and he winked at her.
'I wonder where your girlfriend got the money to buy such expensive gift for you.' Albus too joined them.
'Well his girlfriend has started earning so she thought she'd spent on her love.' Lily shot back at her brother.
'You got your first salary I guess.' Albus said.
'I did.' Lily beamed.
'What's going on kids? Are you not leaving yet?' Ginny asked coming down from stairs. Harry following behind her.
'We're waiting for James.' Albus told his mother.
'Oh right he was supposed to go with you guys.' Ginny said.
'Lily how does it look on me?' Harry asked his daughter pointing at the tie around his neck.
'Perfect. After all it's my choice.' Lily replied.
'I have to agree your choice it really good. I love these earnings too.' Ginny gave Lily a hug for her gift.
'Looks like everyone got a gift.' Albus said.
'Are you jealous?' Rose asked him.
'You don't need to be. Lily got something for you too.' Ginny said.
Albus's eyes lit up in surprise. 'You did?'
Lily went upstairs and brought back a paper bag. She handed it over to her brother. 'Here.' He took it from her and looked inside. There was a box. Opening it he just started for a moment.
'You've been wanting these for a while.'
'I didn't had time to buy them.'
'I hope you like them.'
Albus lifted his eyes from the limited-edition shoes of his favorite brand that Lily had got him as a present and said, 'I do.' For the first time in a while he smiled at her. This gave Ginny and Harry who were now looking at each other with hope that maybe their kids had sorted out their misunderstanding.
Later while everyone was still waiting for James Ginny decided to make some tea for everyone and Rose offered to help.
'Is something bothering you aunt Ginny?' Rose asked when she heard Ginny sigh for the fourth time.
'Albus and James fought a few days back and Lily too seemed disturbed. Is there some tension between them?'
'Um..'
'If you don't want to tell me then I understand. Albus confides in you and I don't want him to not trust you.'
'It's nothing like that Aunt Ginny. I'm sure all of them would tell you on their own if something is wrong.'
'So there is something wrong.'
'All I can tell you right now is that Lily is dating someone and Albus doesn't approve and Albus too is dating someone, who James doesn't approve of. Hence the tension between the siblings.'
'Lily is dating someone? And Albus too?' Ginny was shocked that she didn't knew about such important development in her kids life. 'Do I know who they're dating?'
Rose bit her lip. 'I really can't tell you more than that.'
'Fine as I said I won't pressurize you.'
Rose took Ginny's hands in hers and comforted her. 'Don't worry Aunt Ginny. Albus loves both Lily and James a lot. He'll sort it out with them soon. I'll help him as always.' And she smiled which assured Ginny that thing would be okay.
Ginny made the tea and took it to the living room. When Rose came out the kitchen Albus was waiting outside.
'Albus, what are you doing here?' Rose asked.
'I'm sorry.' He said.
'For what?'
'For being a jerk back then at the St. Mungo's. I shouldn't have said those things to you. You've always been there for me. I'm sorry.'
Rose said nothing but hugged her cousin. She knew how difficult it was for him to see his best friend with his sister. No one would think this but Albus was afraid of loosing Scorpius as a best friend because of his relationship with Lily. He was afraid to choose between sister and his best friend.
Finally after and hour James arrived and all of them left for the vacation.
Ginny took Harry's hand and said as they watched the kids leave from the front porch, 'Maybe a break can patch things up?'
'They'll sort it out love, don't worry.' Harry kissed her forehead as his arms wrapped around her in comfort.
