Cheng Ruowei was visiting Di Jinye's office for the first time.

It was indeed grandiose, befitting the status of the Di Family, the wealthiest clan.

"Do you need more time to look around, Secretary Cheng?"

Di Jinye sat behind his desk, his gaze sharply fixed on her.

As the rumors had suggested, agreeing to become Di Jinye's secretary marked the beginning of her hardships.

"...Does Mr. Di have any instructions for me? I am still not quite clear on what my duties are, and I'm afraid I might delay something important."

What she meant was that she didn't want to be tasked with doing anything at all.

Cheng Ruowei's smile was strained; she just wanted a justifiable reason to be close to Zeran.

Not to actually serve Di Jinye and be at his beck and call.

"I'm looking at your employment application form, why are there still blanks not filled out?"

Di Jinye set down his tablet, his mischievous eyes on her, a teasing smile emerging.
