Listening to the broadcast that kept replaying, a slender, tall girl with short hair came down the street pushing a single-wheel cart toward the base gate.

This slender girl is Li Pan, a Wood Power User specially tasked with planting crops and doing farm work at the base. According to her labor harvest, she earns monthly Contribution points and a wage, plus a fixed amount of grain.

Now in the post-disaster stable period, the sudden appearance of the Blood Moon on Water Blue Star had caused an energy riot, leading to whirlwinds, tsunamis, heavy rains, earthquakes, geomagnetic waves, and a series of natural disasters. With intense front-line battles, the logistics at the rear started to suffer from a shortage of workers, and various supplies couldn't reach the warriors on the front lines. Mao Tu Country on Water Blue Star swiftly entered a military-controlled era.

Under the organization and propaganda of government employees, everyone began to adopt a mode of unity and cooperation. Combat superpower users such as the Ice Element, Fire Element, Earth Element, Gold Element, and Thunder Department joined the military to fight the Mutant Beasts and protect their homeland.

Many superpower users with Water Power were healing-based and entered the medical system to treat the sick and save lives.

Wood Power Users, though weak in combat, excelled in planting and healing, staying at the rear to grow food and take care of logistics.

Other ordinary people worked in various positions at the base according to their abilities and pre-disaster educational level, such as teachers continuing their profession. Children needed education, which is the hope for the future, even during disasters.

For instance, ensuring everyone had electricity and that mobile communication remained basically smooth required people's work.

However, electricity was now rationed; there was power for two hours from eight to ten in the evening, with no supply to residents at other times to ensure energy for agriculture, medical care, and industry.

While mobile phones were usable, the signal was often weak, but within the base, basic smooth communication could be maintained.

As the Blood Moon lasted longer and its energy became more stable, people made it to the post-disaster era through countless difficulties. Those who survived were clearheaded and pragmatic.

There was also a basic understanding of the importance of unity and cooperation, especially among the weaker superpower users like those with Water and Wood Elements. They might not be on the front lines, but by healing soldiers and growing food, they significantly supported the warriors.

Especially the Wood Power Users, who at the beginning of the disaster were ridiculed and disdained for their inability to hunt as the Mutant Beasts evolved much faster than humans, leaving everyone struggling to protect themselves.

The military, however, promptly adjusted its policies, collecting Wood Power Users to work at the rear on farms. No matter how strong a warrior, they still needed to eat, and due to their bodies' alterations by their superpowers, they had better physical capabilities than ordinary people—consuming more and, consequently, needing more food.

Although Wood Power Users were weaker in combat, they knew how to plant and some could heal, ensuring that everyone could be well-fed, which was critical.

Even the most powerful superpower users had families and children who needed to eat. Food was indispensable, and it was imperative for everyone to be united and cooperate in their assigned roles.
