Kapitel 338: Chapter 338: Quentin

Sunday. Motel, Orlando, FL.

QUENTIN HUGGED THE WARM form closer to his chest. Part of him knew this was a dream. A dream wherein Candi didn't hate him. Where they spent the night in each other's arms. It was a simpler world, and he never wanted to leave.

"Q! Q, pay attention," an insistent voice said.

He gripped the small form in his arms tighter.

"Sheesh, pillow hog. Wake. Up."

His whole reality shook and for a moment he had the sensation of endlessly falling, right before his eyes snapped open.

A lamp cast weak light across the room. A familiar face looked down at him, eyes bright with excitement and mouth twisted into a grin.

Candi.

His heart reacted immediately. Warmth bubbled up inside of him, only instead of bursting into disappointment, it collected just under his jaw so that it was hard to breathe.
