Cao Tai POV
After Lantla kicked and cried herself to sleep I quickly place the sword next to her now calm body, Go Ninja Skills!
I then quickly run back to my room and fall asleep to continue my training, I wonder how Violets training is doing, probably pretty well.
*
In the Dreamspace I learn how to use the second arrow enchantment, purple arrow, which lets you put people to sleep, until you place your hand on them and say your Safe Word, mine is, 'Attention!'
After shooting for the rest of the time I had, I arise from my sleep to walk outside to see Violet swinging her sword up and down repeatedly, probably to help her grip as well as her stamina in a fight, but I highly doubt a fight would resort to her using her sword, unless she was fighting someone as powerful as Lantla's father, but then he'd probably annihilate you before you could even draw your sword.
And I wonder why he would even attack me, I mean its not like I've cheated on her! I think... I may need to tread carefully around her, actually no I don't! We aren't a couple or anything! Right? I truly hope she doesn't feel that way about me. [Moment of MC self doubt]
Speaking of the devil, Lantla comes out of the tent, in another outfit? How?! "Good morning, Lantla! Where did you get that outfit from?" I call, she peers down to her outfit, a red kimono shrouding her body shape, her hands around her back, making her look extremely innocent. Several large flowers that grow on orchids in bloom on her at the tip of her left sleeve and where her right leg popped out. She walks over to me, a cut on her left foot showing her leg up to her lower thigh, did she do that or did it come like that?!
She leans forward and gleams, "Good Morning... Mas~ter~"
WHAT!? Where did she get that from!? I try to keep myself composed so that way Violet doesn't think I got a heart attack or something.
"Uhhhh, good morning Lantla, sorry about last night..." I say, rubbing the back of my head, "Its fine, I shouldn't have brought out a knife on you," Lantla says, bowing apologetically, it was slightly empowering (Cao Tai means arousing) seeing someone significantly taller than you bow to you, even if its only in apology.
I wave my hand as if dismissing her apology since I have more concerning things to ask, like how did she get the kimono, AND WHERE'S HIS PRESENT?!
"Hey Lantla, how did you get that kimono? I'm assuming you didn't summon it since its not living so how did you get it?" I ask, trying to sound curious, not concerned, she stands back up and grins, "I traded the sword of course" She exclaims, Violet stops practicing and turns around, gasping. I hear a gasp being emitted from me as well, at least I now know that she prefers clothing over weapons.
"Just kidding! Just kidding!" She says hurriedly, sensing my sadness and the death aura that Violet was emitting.
Violet calms down but still walks into earshot, so that way if she tried to you know, pull a blade on me, she would die.
"Sasha came home with this last night, carrying two outfits she received from some admirers, for some reason, walking home with multiple 'trophies' is a good thing in this place... any more questions..? Master?" She adds with a wolfish grin, knowing that this would certainly cause a reaction on Violet, and a reaction she got.
Or maybe an explosion, not even pretending to not have eavesdropped she storms over and practically yells, "WHAT!? CAN YOU REPEAT THAT?!" [I'm using a lot of Caps lock huh?]
"I said, Master, to well..." Lantla pauses looking at Violets expression before smiling and saying, "Master!" She finishes excitedly.
Violet looks like she is about to have a mental breakdown, or at least some major hysteria, so I do my best to think of something to calm her down, and the best I could come up with was, "Hey Violet, its OK for Lantla to call me Master, its not exclusive to you, you know right?" I say, before realizing that this may not be my fight, after all, I don't really want to die...
"But... But she doesn't have a contract with you, yeah she doesn't!!!" Violet says triumphantly, proud of her reason.
I sigh, this is a waste of time, I wish I could just ask where Lantla put the sword, or who she traded it to, "There are three reasons why your argument doesn't work. One, You called me Master long before you had a contract with me. Two, Lantla didn't know that there was an option to do a soul contract, and three, I don't want to create a soul contract with her yet since I don't want her dad to get mad with me," I explain, forgetting that the topic of this mini-lecture was standing next to me.
Lantla furrows her brows and puffs her cheeks out, sure she was acting childish but it was clear that she wasn't happy about something, and she was going to do something, hopefully nothing too bad...
She snaps her fingers and a large and fat large tentacle pops out of the ground and gobble me up, wrapping me into a cocoon. "When you let me get a Soul Contract the Caterpillar of Promises will let you out again," She says, walking away to sit on a log, watching me, sitting up straight with her hands on her lap, like there wasn't a LARGE leech in front of her!
And this is exactly what I didn't want to happen, I try to pound on it but its no use, I won't break out without my sword. Which I didn't bring since you know, I didn't expect this...
Violet mouthes the words, 'I will get you out' and then pulls out my gift and tries to slice the leech, but the sword sinks in, Violet barely manages to pull out her sword before the leech did a sucking motion with its flab. (It may be a Caterpillar but the MC considers it to be a leech, FYI)
I guess I could make her sign a contract, because I think that it'll help me control her a little more but this is why I also don't want Lantla to stick with me, since I believe that if I let her stay she's just going to cause some trouble with her childness...
