Before a military unit goes into battle, morale can generally be maintained at a relatively high level, typically around 100 points. Once it falls below 60, however, the possibility of disintegration arises. When a unit suffers casualties, for every 1% of troops lost, morale decreases by 2%. This means that a unit of a hundred men may disintegrate after losing twenty. But now, with the support of the "discipline" morale type, losing twenty men only reduces morale by thirty-two points, leaving an eight-point margin before disintegration. This must be one of the advantages of having different types of morale, and it seems there might be others.

Nevertheless, this served as a reminder to him that he didn't need to wipe out every single Black Mountain Bandit attacking the village; inflicting sufficient casualties to cause disintegration would suffice.

What pleased him most was that the grade of the troop had changed from gray to white, at least it looked a bit more respectable now.
