Kapitel 23: Chapter : 23 Urgency

Dylan and Rias made their way down the stairs when Dylan suddenly stopped Rias, sensing someone approaching from the corridor.

"What happened?" Rias asked, suddenly stopped by him.

But Dylan didn't respond; his gaze was fixed in front as now someone's footsteps could also be heard. He pulled Rias to the side, hiding her.

As Dylan sneakily peeked to see who was coming, Rias decided to look as well, resting her head above Dylan. They patiently waited for the mysterious person.

The sounds of footsteps came closer and closer until a short figure with light brown hair, maybe 4ft tall, with tight pants-tight ass and a large pouch-like stomach under his bubbly chest, finally revealed himself. He was breathing heavily, as if he'd just run a marathon.

"What is he?" Dylan muttered, seeing the peculiar species.

"That's Sir Almond," Rias said, recognizing the man and pointing towards him.

"He should have eaten almonds instead of naming himself after one," Dylan commented.

"Sir Almond, over here!" Rias shouted as she came out from hiding, joyously waving at him.

"Rias," Sir Almond responded, waving back with a heavy breath but in friendly manner.

Seeing Sir Almond waving, Rias rushed towards him. "Are you okay, Rias? You shouldn't be roaming around like this; it could be dangerous," Almond expressed concern for Rias, visible in his eyes as he observed her in what seemed to be a perilous situation.

As Dylan slowly walked towards them, Almond's attention shifted to him. "Another kid? You shouldn't be roaming out here," Almond remarked, noting Dylan's presence in the potentially life threatening surroundings.

"Sir Almond, he is helping me find Sona," Rias explained, giving her reasons for venturing out in search of her friend.

"Don't worry about her; she will be fine. You should take care of yourself. Now, follow me, both of you. I will take you somewhere to hide. It could be dangerous to roam around like that," Almond expressed genuine concern for their safety.

Suddenly, Dylan sensed someone approaching through his spiritual senses, detecting two people running towards their direction. "Let's hide fast; someone is coming," Dylan urgently warned. Almond and Rias looked at him with confusion, as they couldn't hear or see anyone around.

"What are you looking at? Let's hide fast; someone is coming," Dylan reiterated, his tone carrying an urgency. Almond immediately agreed upon hearing Dylan's tone.

Few minutes later

Almond, Dylan, and Rias were concealed in a dark room, with only faint light penetrating through the glass on the door. They sat silently in a corner, eavesdropping on footsteps and distant conversations.

"Nobody here."

"Dammit, where did all the children go?"

Observing the perilous situation, Almond muttered, "This is getting out of hand. Even though the teachers have tried their best to hide the students, it won't be long before they get discovered. But we can't contact anyone outside the school for help," expressing disappointment due to the barrier preventing communication beyond the school.

"Liridian," Dylan called out telepathically.

"What is it?" Liridian responded as he appeared beside him.

"Can you create a magic circle that will help in contacting someone from outside this school?" Dylan inquired telepathically, hoping to assist Almond in reaching out for help.

"The magic circle I gave you can also be used for that purpose. Just show him the magic circle; he will understand how to use it to contact someone for help," Liridian suggested, indicating to Dylan that Almond would find a way to utilize the magic circle himself for seeking assistance from beyond the school.

"If you want to contact someone from outside, maybe I can help you," Dylan spoke out as Almond looked at him without any expression.

"Do you know a way?" Almond questioned, initially skeptical but willing to entertain the possibility as his desperation led him to put faith in the small child.

"I made this magic circle to get out from here, but maybe it can help you contact someone from the outside," Dylan lied about the magic circle's origin, avoiding revealing Liridian's involvement.

A white magic circle with intricate patterns formed above Dylan's palms. Almond felt the magic's sensation that was tampering around the school's teleportation, yet the magic circle in the small kid's hands effortlessly bypassed it.

"How did you make it?" Almond questioned, puzzled by how a small child could create a magic circle that canceled the tampering, a challenge even the teachers alongside Almond couldn't overcome.

"Dylan, I will project the patterns of the magic circle onto your eyes' cornea and use your spiritual power to create an exact copy on the floor so they can use it," Liridian explained to Dylan, as a holographic patterns of the magic circle shone in his eyes revealing the source of the magic circle's creation.

Dylan immediately lifted his index finger, passing some spiritual power, making his finger glow slightly as he started drawing the magic circle on the floor.

After the magic circle was completed, it shone with the same brilliant white color as before. "Use this," Dylan said, and Almond looked at him with a wow expression.

However, Almond's admiration halted as footsteps were heard right in front of the door. "You do your work, I will handle them," Dylan said, standing up and ready to make his move.

"What are you saying?" Almond expressed concern, wondering how a small child would defend them.

"Sir Almond, trust him; he is strong," Rias reassured with a smile, instilling confidence in Dylan's abilities.

Sighing, Almond remarked, "These kids are more brave than me," thinking that their bravery stemmed from their childshness. He immediately got to work, using the magic circle to contact the outside for help.

Gremory Castle

A sound of someone running in a rush in the castle corridors, as he didn't knock or waited, immediately went inside a room.

"Lord Zeoticus, Lady Rias' school is attacked by a group of devils," the man said urgently, fear evident in his tone.

"What are you saying? Who gave the information?" Zeoticus asked, shocked by the sudden revelation.

"I just received information from one of the teachers at the school, and not only that, even the Sitri family got the information," the man explained.

"Prepare for war. They need to know who they are messing with. Go immediately, call out all the soldiers," Zeoticus ordered in a stern tone as the man rushed out to obey the order.
