Valerio arrived at the family house, and Alex slowed down the car.
The bodyguards pulled the gate open for them, and he drove the car inside.
He parked in the parking lot and stepped down to open the door for Valerio.
Valerio got down from the car and adjusted his white suit.
He tucked the strands of his hair that fell over his eyes behind his ear, and with Alex following behind him, they strolled into the mansion, ignoring the bodyguards who were bowing down to him in respect.
He arrived in the living room, and the first person he met was Logan, who was seated on the couch with his legs crossed.
Logan slowly raised his head to look at him, and a surprised glint immediately flashed in his eyes.
'What is he doing here so early in the morning?' He pondered and quickly turned his head when he heard none other than Lucius's footsteps.
"Good morning, father." Valerio greeted him with respect, and Lucius raised his brow at him.
"Good to see you, son. I wonder why the sudden visit." A sneaky smile spread across his face.
"Well, let's assume you have no idea why I am here. I am here to see Leia. I have called her phone multiple times and it is unreachable, so I am very worried about her." Valerie clarified.
Lucius quickly shifted his gaze to Logan and a slight frown appeared on his face.
Logan nervously fluttered his eyes, indicating that he had broken the phone out of annoyance.
"You can go and find her by yourself. It's expected that she would go missing one day, considering her wild behavior." Lucius replied and a deep scowl settled on Valerio's face.
"And may I ask what you're implying?" He questioned.
"Well, it seems that your precious sister didn't return home yesterday. I haven't laid eyes on her, and neither has Logan. We are actually worried about her, you see."
He explained and a slow smirk made its way to Valerio's face.
"Is that so?" He inquired, and Lucius shrugged.
Valerio frantically nodded his head and slowly turned to face Logan, who was standing beside the couch.
He walked towards him and stood in front of him, revealing the fact that he was slightly taller than Logan.
"You haven't seen my sister, you say?" He questioned and a deep scowl emerged on Logan's face.
"I don't know what you are-"
"I asked you a question, Logan, and I want to hear a yes or no." He shut him up and Logan's expression became even uglier.
"I told you that I haven't--" His words had yet to flee his mouth when he suddenly found himself flying onto the concrete wall.
He clashed with the wall and plummeted to the cold floor.
"You haven't seen her, yet I smell her scent on you!" Valerio yelled angrily and appeared in front of him in the blink of an eye.
He gripped him by the throat and lifted him into midair.
"Where is my sister?" He questioned in rage, and Lucius, who knew that he would probably kill Logan at this point, moved to intervene.
No matter how much he tries to convince himself, he knows very well that Logan could never be a match for Valerio, no matter what.
"Let him go." He ordered, and Valerio turned his head to look at him with his lavender eyes.
"I will snap his head off if you don't give my sister to me." He threatened, and Lucius, who knew that Valerio wasn't one to make empty threats, pinched his brows.
"Valerio put him down. Leia didn't return home yesterday, and we are looking for her as well, just as you are." He said to him with a darkened expression on his face.
Valerio turned his gaze to Logan and threw him to the ground in fury.
He stormed towards his father and stood in front of him.
"I'm curious when you started caring for her. Quite new to me." He smirked, and Lucius' face swelled in steaming rage.
"Valerio, do not cross your boundaries. I may not be fond of her, but she is still my daughter. So yes, I do care for her!" He declared.
Valerio gazed at him for a moment as though he could see him, before abruptly turning around.
"Very well then. I give you both forty-eight hours to find my sister; else, the police will be involved in this, and you should know better than to let humans interfere in our lives. I'm sure you don't want such problems unless you've been missing the blood that comes from its original source."
He smiled evilly as he said this and stormed out of the mansion, with Alex following beside him.
Lucius stared at his disappearing back and turned to look at Logan.
He walked to him and helped him up from the floor.
"Did you hurt her?" He inquired, and Logan proudly nodded his head.
"Yes, I did. Pretty well actual-" He had yet to finish his haughty sentence when Lucius angrily slapped him across the face with the back of his hand.
"Are you stupid? I asked you to find out what she said to Valerio, not to hurt her!" He yelled at him, and his rage bubbled even more.
"How badly is she hurt?" He questioned, and Logan, who knew just how horribly he had tortured her, stuttered, unable to explain.
"Father, I am sorry. I only hurt her because she kept on provoking me despite all my warnings." He pleaded, and Lucius slapped him yet again.
"Why are you so useless and impulsive? Did you think of the consequences while you were hurting her, huh?" He rubbed his temples in deep stress and took a deep breath.
"Follow me. We need to instigate a plan as soon as possible, so none of this would implicate us. If not, everything we have been planning without any movement will be ruined. Heavens! you are really useless."
He glared, and Logan stood up on his feet.
"I apologize, father. I will make sure to do better next time."
He apologized, and Lucius shook his head at him.
"Let's go."
