Early the next morning, Valerio, who had already gotten ready to leave for his company, made his way downstairs using the elevator.

He stepped out once the door was pushed open and proceeded towards the exit door.

Nihal opened it for him, and his eyes, which had immediately glimpsed someone, lowered, only to stop on none other than Keisha.

He stood there staring down at her, indicating just how much taller he was than she was.

"V-Valerio…" Keisha stuttered, her body trembling, clearly showing how scared she was.

Valerio gazed at her, and for a moment there, he wondered if he was dreaming.

How long has it been? a whole year.

The first and only lady, whom he once considered a friend, was standing in front of him.

The lady who never once visited him during the most hellish year of his life. Not even once.

"What are you doing here?" He asked in a calm but cold voice.
