Kapitel 44: CHAPTER 43 :Night Confessions.
As Annika retreated to her room,frustration gnawed at her mind like a relentless itch. Shedding her day clothes for comfortable nightwear, she settled at her dressing table, her thoughts consumed by the events of the evening.
This girl is really getting on my nerves, especially with her overt affection for my husband, Annika muttered to herself, recalling Soniya's gestures of intimacy-kisses on the cheeks, feeding Alex. The memories lingered like stubborn stains, refusing to fade.
Summoning her friend Natasha, Annika vented her frustrations, her voice tinged with irritation. "Natasha, l need you to get me the makeup cosmetics from Rihanna's make up collection brand and also the trending nails from Hailey Bieber's collection brand, fashionable clothes, sexy saris and a night wear. Can you do that for me by the end of two days?"
Natasha, sensing Annika's distress, probed further " Why do you need all of this ? You sound so angry . What's wrong ?"
Annika's emotions overflowed, tears welling in her eyes. "I'm not okay Natasha. It's Alex's girlfriend. She's acting like his wife in front of me. She took my seat at the dining table, fed my husband, and even kissed him on the cheeks".
Natasha, ever the voice of reason, urged Annika to compose herself. 'Take deep breaths. It sounds like a plan orchestrated by Alex to make you jealous. He wants you to confesd your feelings by stirring up emotions".
With a heavy heart, Annika bid goodnight, the weight of uncertainty pressing upon her. Alone in her room, she switched on the lamps, casting a soft glow, and settled into bed. Turninf on her screen and donning her glasses, she sought solace in the world of web novels, seeking distraction from the tumultuous emotions swirling within her.
