Kapitel 60: Ch.2

The instant I was through I felt it, pain. The entire earth was screaming in agony at me to help it. There was no magic here and the earth was dying slowly because of it. I grabbed the closed restless door and put in my ring, using my own power to do so.

I grabbed Lexi and encompassed her ring in my magic to keep it working. With a thought I flew to where I felt Buffy and the rest, San Francisco. I had to block out the screams of the earth and nature around me as I flew under my own power.

When I arrived outside her house several hours later I dropped to the ground and prayed they were ok. Knocking on the door I waited for them to answer while Lexi fidgeted. Surprisingly Dawn was the one to answer the door.

She frowned. "Who are you?"

I gave a wry smile as another voice, one I recognized as my own spoke. "It's Ryan, I don't know how I know but it's him."

Dawn's eyes shot wide. "R-Ryan?!!"

I nodded. "It's me Dawnie. It took me a thousand years in another dimension and reality but I've finally come back."

She leapt and hugged me crying while I patted her back and calmed her down. "Shh. It's ok Dawnie, I'm here and I'm going to fix everything."

I looked over her shoulder to Illyria in my old body. "It's gotta suck to get my body and magic around the world end up dying. No way to advance further."

It nodded in a grimace. "I kept my word when you kept yours. Even with this set back this body is immortal and I can wait till something happens to change the world once more."

I smirked as Dawn released me and introduced Lexi. "This is Lexi Branson, my mate. It's a long story and one I'll tell you all later. Call the others out, it's time I get my revenge on twilight and fix this world's magic deficiency problem."

Dawn ran inside yelling that I was back in a new body. After five minutes everyone was gathered in the living room. When I saw Faith and Alice with Buffy who was hugging herself I sighed. "Where's Giles, Anya, Willow and Tara?"

Buffy she's a tear and I sighed and clenched my fist. "Don't worry, I'll bring them back. I may look different now but I swear it's me. When I realized I couldn't win against Twilight I expected to die. I couldn't destroy this world and it knew it. It refused to go farther and used you all against me. I played a trick in my final moments. I scarified my body, magic and soul to give you all a chance."

My words died in the room until Xander, one eyes now said. "Little good it did us. Twilight, Angel, he killed half the slayers with us and tried to rape Buffy. If it wasn't for her new superpowers from their deaths we'd have stood no chance."

I growled. "Do you think I didn't know the outcome would've been grim either way? All I wanted for you all was to survive, to endure. Beating twilight for good was never in the cards for you all. Hell, destroying the seed only locked him out of this world, he's still waiting to continue his efforts just outside this dimension!"

Xander blanched and I bit my tongue trying not to sound like to big of a dick. Sighing I rubbed my face. "In reality I wasn't expecting to be reborn. When I sacrificed my soul to the highest entity there is I expected to be unmade, destroyed in every sense of the word."

Buffy flinched now before more tears came. Finally Faith spoke up. "We lost a lot just to prevent twilight from getting Buffy. It found the compound in Devon and destroyed it. Then when Spike showed up with a space ship to take us back to Sunnydale shit got worse. We were fighting a loosing war as twilight decided that if it couldn't have Buffy it would take the seed and give birth to itself, whatever that means. It killed Giles while Willow tried to fight it off with the seeds magic. Xander was tossed face first into a rebar fence and lost an eye. Anya, she died in Tokyo before the twilight mess got too bad."

I grunted after hear each of their deaths and maiming's. She continued her rant on the slayers and watcher's that we're killed and finally she ended with. "And you come back promising to fix it all with a new girl on your arms and you don't even look like you anymore."

I sighed. "I can tell you all about what I've gone through, but I'd rather just show you."

My hand glowed with power as I connected everyone's mind to my own and replayed everything from my new birth onwards. Then when I released them I spoke. "I've enough magic to fuel the planet into growing a new seed. Hell, I've enough resources to build a new world. I've never once thought of not returning. In all that time since I regained my memories I've been preparing and trying to get stronger to get back here to you all."

Dawn spoke up. "And Lexi?"

I gave her a droll stare. "I'd been alone for almost a thousand years before I'd met her. Not to mention witch roofies and a bad hangover."

I looked to Lexi saying. "Not that I regret any of it, ever."

I looked Buffy, Alice and Faith over. "Take it as you will but I won't apologize for claiming her as my mate or proposing marriage to her. We've waited this long for the vows because she wanted to get to know you all first. Not to mention she's willing to become human once more to stand by our side."

I pulled a dead Mohra demon out of my ring and bled it in front of them. Lexi looked to me once before drinking it's blood and stepping back as her heart started beating again. I didn't react in time but Alice did, she caught and held Lexi in her arms.

Seeing that she approved Faith and Buffy helped hold her as well. Faith spoke to me. "You're still in the doghouse mister."

I held up my hands in surrender. "I can live with that, after all, I'm a very big canine. The house won't hold me for long no matter the size."

Snorts were heard all around and Xander finally asked. "So what's next?"

I reached down and smashed the Mohra demon's gem killing it for good as it's body flashed and caught fire. I sent it flying outside while I answered. "One step are a time."

I reached up and uncovered his eye patch. He flinched and I smirked. "In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king."

Xander went to make a quip but screamed instead as he fell to the floor. The healing spell I hit him with would regrow his eye better than it'd ever been. Practically supernatural in that way. He'd be able to see magic and the truth of everything from now on with that eye.

I told him. "Don't scratch are it as it's healing all of your dead nerves and regrowing the eye back. It comes with an upgrade as well. You'll be able to see magic in all it's forms."

I helped him up as he twitched and screamed every few minutes until it was fully healed. It was a different color than what he was used to but it didn't bother him. I had to stop him each time he went to scratch at it complaining that it itched. "Leave it alone, it needs time to settle and adjust to the lack of magic in the world. Once I've fixed that it'll be better than new."

I turned to Buffy asking. "Where is Willow and Tara?"

She sighed and admitted. "They left after the magic died. They said something about finding it again or using the compound to make a magic town. It was a bit weird the way they looked hollow without it."

I nodded. "And do you feel your slayer essence?"

Buffy smiled. "I'm still a slayer, so is everyone that was called before but there's been no more called since."

I sighed. "It's because the world is dying without magic. When you destroyed the seed you effectively severed Sineya from everyone that would be called. She's isolated and weakened in this state and should you and the rest of the slayers die before magic is restored she will die for good. I'll end up dying with her as well, just so were clear."

She chuckled. "Gives till death do us part a whole new meaning."

I barked out a laugh. "Indeed it does."

Xander grumbled. "So, risking another migraine and possibly another eye growing somewhere else here but what's next?"

I sighed. "I need Angel, I'd he's still alive."

Buffy bit her lip before saying. "He is. He wasn't in control, we knew that. But afterwards, well, he hasn't been the same since it happened and that was a week ago. He's in the basement muttering apologies about trying to rape me and killing Giles and all the girls."

I nodded. "Sounds about par for the course there. So it's only been six months since my death here and a thousand and twenty odd years were I was reborn. Any chance you can get ahold of Willow and tell her I'm back. I'll need her help to connect the seed I plan to use with the world. Once the connection is established I'm going to reach through Angel's connection with twilight and end the bastard before any more crap goes down. I'll be taking back my essence as well, not that I need it anymore but it's nice to feel more like myself again. Once I have it I'll look more like my old self again."

Xander asked. "Can't you just take your body back from he who would be king or whatever?"

I shook my head. "It can have that body, this one is stronger and forged in hellfire. There's very little that can harm me physically now, not even the slayer scythe, even if it wasn't already destroyed, could cut me without cracking the blade."

I took out a joint and lit it saying. "Besides, I intend to make Buffy and Faith immortal with a spell I picked up a while back. They won't turn into vampires and they'd still be slayers or at least they'd have the essence and strength. It comes with powerful psychic abilities as well."

Buffy looked at me and I smiled. "I meant what I said love, I want you forever, not just a human lifetime. We will walk through eternity together. As my new bodies family liked to say, always and forever."

She couldn't help herself as she kissed me. The simple action changed into a fierce fiery passion before finally she dragged me upstairs. We shook the house in our efforts until she was satisfied and numb.

When I went to shower Faith was there waiting for her turn saying. "You're still on my bad side."

I smiled. "Then lets get me on your good side then. I can screw the bad out I'm sure."

She took that as a challenge and I ended up leaving her in the bath tub in a bubble bathe feeling numb and humming a merry tune. Alice and Lexi were getting to know each other on the bed where Buffy was before when I came out.

I let them have at it while I went to find my blonde slayer. She was in the basement trying to get Angel to come out of it. When he saw me he begged. "Put me back please, I feel so out of place, so broken."

I growled. "Even if I could, why should I? You're the one who chose that path. You let twilight in and it forced me to sever the link. You should be glad that's all it did or you'd be dead by now."

He went into a crazed rant and started hitting his head while pulling at his hair. Buffy asked. "What does he want you to do?"

I sighed. "Reforge the connection between myself and him. When I severed the bloodline link I effectively severed all his abilities as a vampire. Sure he still needs blood to survive but he doesn't get stronger from it any more nor does he get stronger as he gets older like the other vampires did. Angel was well on his way to becoming a master vampire with control over weaker ones just by his presence and age. But now he's little more than a newbie vamp without any more strength than his very human body has. He's just a human that needs blood now."

She looked at me weirdly and I told her. "I draw power from all vampires and werewolves related to my line. It's what feeds my essence like gods feed on prayers and the essence the human souls give freely through them. In return they have natural benefits like heightened senses and strength.

"Even their ability to turn others comes from the blood and thus through me. If he'd been a master vampire with age on his side at the time he'd have been able to retain that ability and create his own bloodline. Or if twilight were feeding him power still he could pull it off but now, well, it's like giving Cordelia or Harmony no one to talk down to or brag to for eternity."

Buffy looked at me stunned before saying. "Can you do it?"

I shrugged. "I could in theory rebuild the link between him and I but I won't, at least, not before I destroy twilight for good. If you want me to afterwards and feel he's suffered enough for his stupidity then I'll try to rebuild the link. Hopefully the experience I'm going to put him through to end twilight won't drive him crazy or kill him in the process. Because there's a high risk for both."

Angel was weeping in the corner and beating himself up but I could seem to find the sympathy to care. I grabbed him by the back of his neck and yanked him to his feet. When he looked at me he didn't even want to fight back. All he said was. "I-I killed you, please forgive me."

I sighed. "You want forgiveness? Do you want forgiveness or redemption? How far are you willing to go."

He gasped like a fish before saying sternly as if he was the old Angel once more. "As far as it takes."

I nodded. "Then help me kill twilight and you'll have earned it. I'll bring back all those slayers and our friends that you've killed. And after you've sought out their forgiveness, I'll rebuild the link between us."

He shrugged my hand off and I let go as he said. "Then let's do it."

I smirked. "It could kill you, or drive you insane."

He shook his head. "It doesn't matter. I can't live with what I've done and still be same either way. Death would be a kindness."

I nodded and turned to Buffy. "I've warned him and he still wants to try. It's time we set things right. Call Willow and get her here."

She sighed. "I already did. As soon as I called her she said she and Tara were on their way already. They felt you arrive. Hell, they said any being with magic before sensed your arrival. Something about being a blazing sun in the darkness."

I chuckled. "Sounds like they only see what I'm using right now. They'd be shocked if I revealed my full power than. I'm four hundred times that strong now and I have two seeds of wonder to boot. Once they're here we'll leave for Sunnydale. It's there that I'll have to do what I plan don't worry about the dead slayers or Giles and Anya. I'll revive them all once twilight is dealt with."

She frowned. "What about the consequences?"

I smiled. "The seeds of wonder are pieces of Gaia, a primordial goddess. Through them I can bring the dead back without cost. Gods don't pay remember?"

She nodded as tears of relief sprang forth. I pulled her into my arms murmuring. "It's ok now, everything's going to be ok. Once I've established magic and twilight is dead I'll rebuild Sunnydale as a giant compound. I've collected thirteen giant ward stones that will protect the town. With magic gone Wolfram and Hart is gone and once it's back they'll have no footing to stand on. With all the slayers and only a few hellmouth's to guard we can retire from that life if you'd like. No more fighting, only raising kids and occasionally teaching new slayers to fight."

She clenched my biceps and more tears came before she said. "I'd like that, I'd like that a lot."

I nodded. "Then I'll make it so I promise, and I never break a promise."

I led her upstairs with Angel following occasionally frowning. When Xander saw us he freaked out yelling. "Twilight!"

I smacked up upside the back of his head like I'd done Damon so many times before saying. "Get a grip why don't you, he's not twilight. I haven't even brought back magic yet."

He frowned. "Oh, sorry, my bad."

Dawn laughed and kissed him making me raise an eyebrow. Buffy snorted. "They've been together for a while now. After Anya- well, a while anyway."

I nodded. "So long as I don't have to hear the gory details."

I turned to see Alice and Lexi coming downstairs armed with Faith right behind them. Chuckling I told them. "False alarm, Xander just wasn't expecting Angel to be cooperative."

Xander rubbed the back of his head saying. "My bad, sorry again."

Chuckling I told the nearly nude trio on the stairs. "Get dress, or better yet we hav a few hours before Willow arrives so let's get some sleep."

I turned to Angel. "I put some blood in the fridge when I knew you were in the basement. It won't make you any stronger but it'll help keep you alive and well, less dead when I tap the link between you and twilight and fry his ass. Oh and your gem of Amara should be working again, just don't leave the yard. My range is about that far with the barrier I put up."

I grabbed Buffy and dragged her and the girls upstairs and really tired them out after that. They slept for seven hours when Willow and Tara arrived and I was forced to wake them up with coffee and the promise that it wasn't for more sex. Not that I wasn't prepared to take that avenue but all good things in time.

Once we were dressed and no longer tangled on the bed we headed downstairs where the former witches were waiting. As soon as she saw me I felt her pulling magic from me. Smiling I let her take it and Tara followed suit.

Soon they were both back at full power and immortal again. Like filling a well with a sea of power. They both crackled with green power as their hair changed a bit like Illyria's was blue roots, theirs were green roots.

I'd long since noticed Illyria had regained most of it's former power as an old one and was hiding the temporal powers inside itself. I saw the pack I'd tossed to Giles for the compound on Willow's back.

Sighing I asked her. "When you left did you ever imagine I'd come back and if so did you think I'd be happy that you left like you did?"

Willow frowned. "I didn't have a choice, the world needs magic, I need magic."

I nodded. "It does, but they needed you. Sigh, it doesn't matter now, let's just get this over with. By they way, you're technically going to give birth to a new seed of wonder so be prepared for that."

Willow stilled. "What-"

I teleported us all to the altar where the broken seed lay with the equally broken slayer scythe. When she finished her exclamation I chuckled. "There's always a cost Willow. When you tapped into the first seed you drew in a piece of it. The new seed will need that piece to connect with this dimension and fuel it's rebirth into a solid state. I've two seeds inside me but they cannot be taken out without disrupting the balance of my own magic's and me exploding for my efforts. Trust me none of us want that."

I made a barrier around Angel as I had him kneel in preparation for twilight before bringing Willow in front of the old altar where I placed my hand on her breast, over her heart saying. "Don't do anything other than feel. I want you to focus on the sensation and memory of what the old seed felt like and remember, this is going to give you some serious heartburn and maybe a need for sex. I can heal the heartburn but you'll have to drag Tara away for the sex."

Tara smiled beside her. "I think I can live with that."

I snorted and began. "Enough talk, remember."

I began pouring power straight from both seeds into her. They spun at a rapid pace and began releasing massive amounts of magic while Willow hummed, moaned then screamed. A bright red brilliance encompassed us all as the seed came out of Willow and absorbed the broken shell of the former seed. There it spun in place before starting to release it's own blinding lights.

I released Willow who folded like a sack of potatoes. Turning I immediately walked through the barrier and shoved my hand through Angel's back and grabbed his heart. It was a sickening scene to be sure but made all the nastier from Xander barfing in the corner.

I reached inside him to the link twilight had made before and as it snapped back into place I grabbed ahold of it and began draining the dimensional god of all it had taken from me and more. I didn't stop until it died screaming and ceased to exist.

I pulled my hand out of Angel and tossed a healing spell his way while he drooled into a puddle on the floor. I may have been a bit to forceful but he'd recover as the process lasted no more than a few seconds. "It's done, twilight is dead and I've taken in all the power it had. If I wanted I could create a new reality from all that it gave me. But instead I think I'll fix this one."

I waved a hand as two hundred and six dead slayers and a dead watcher were revived through the sheer power and will of the seed. It knew the price I wanted for it's birth and was more than willing to pay. After that I reached the body in Tokyo and revived Anya before bringing her here. Then came the compound and all we lost there.

I repaired both compound parts and gems to perfect working order before shifting the earth above us and filling in the sink hole that was Sunnydale. With the last act I released the seed and gave it the last of the magic I'd taken from twilight while keeping the essence myself.

Before their eyes my body changed to match my previous self naturally. Even Illyria was checking itself to make sure I hadn't reneged on the deal. Smiling I told them. "Let's take this party upstairs. I've a town to build and the seed needs protecting."

I flicked a finger as wards so strong not even the previous twilight could've broken them sprang into place. They were tied to the seed itself. I teleported everyone to the surface an had them stand where the street would be as I got to work.

Streets and houses fully formed grew out of the ground for the next several hours as all of Sunnydale regrew exactly how it should've been only every molecule of it was warded and tied to thirteen massive ward stones. The entire town was also transportable now and could survive the planet exploding without a scratch.

The passage to the seed below was cut off and the soil around it for miles now has steel like durability. Smiling as I finished Buffy asked. "How?"

Willow smiled and answered for me. "Because everything is connected, silly."

I chuckled. "Exactly."

Willow frowned a bit before saying. "I don't think I want to have kids if it's that painful."

Tara looked all serious saying. "We can adopt."

I hummed as I felt an answer click in my head. "Buffy won't need to, she's pregnant."

Buffy looked at me shocked with the rest before feeling her stomach. "I don't feel pregnant."

I chuckled. "That's because it just happened today. I didn't notice as I was a bit preoccupied with other worries but as soon as I started thinking on the subject I could feel a bond of sorts to our future child."

Alice smiled. "He's right, it's a girl by the way."

I sighed while Buffy kept feeling herself saying. "I'm going to be a mom."

Smiling wryly Willow patted her back saying. "Well I just gave birth so I beat you by nine months give or take."

I snorted. "You really need to let that go. It was my magic and my seed- nope not going there."

Faith laughed. "To late daddy-o. You done knocked up Buffy and Willow gave birth to your magic juice so you really need to take responsibility."

They all burst into laughter at my expense for a few minutes until I sighed. "The compound is back next door to your old house Buffy. The slayers and Giles are there."

Xander asked quickly. "And Anya?"

I nodded. "She's there as well, though take my advice and tell her immediately about Dawn and yourself. And pray she's into a three way relationship. Though I'd say I doubt she'd give you crap but this is Anya we're talking about."

I turned to Angel while they laughed and frowned to myself before sighing and rebuilding the link between his bloodline and my own. When it was connected only then did I realize and smack myself in the head. "We've got a serious problem, Archaeus is awake and in San Francisco. Some dumbass freed him from the deeper well."

Willow said. "Isn't he a vampire? Can't you kill him easily?"

I shook my head. "Yes and no not easily. He's tied to closely to my original essence and the vampire species as a whole. He needs to be put back in the well as killing him would injure me severely."

I summoned what I was looking for and repaired it before handing the scythe to Faith. "I can fight him and hold him in place but you need to deal the killing blow. Once he's put back in his coffin and sealed away all will be fine. Don't worry he can't die that easily. I'd need to drain his essence and that's not happening."

She nodded and we headed to the compound where we were greeted by the now living slayers and the missing scoobies. When they were told the score they all geared up as they were completely behind keeping me unharmed. I teleported us to the warehouse where Archaeus was held up at and they surrounded it.

I scried then teleported to his coffin at the Chile entrance to the deeper well. I grabbed it and teleported back to the slayers with it. I then partially shifted into my vampire form and grew massively as my wings spread out. Archaeus has wings of his own only he couldn't fly with them like I could.

I ripped the sliding steel door off it's hinges and lunges at the startled demon. We collided and I pinned him to the ground roaring in it's face. It shrieked and struggles to no avail until finally Faith and the other slayers managed to chop it to bits. I then put all but the blood in the coffin as I made sure to drain it of any blood at all before sealing it away and sending it to the deeper well to rest there once more.

When we were done I teleported everyone back to the compound before repairing all the portals it was once hooked up to. Along with Giles's help and a lot of resources expended, the final war against Wolfram and Hart was very one sided.

I basically slaughtered half their bases while the slayers took the other half activating spires at every city they took. Half the major cities on the planet were then made demonic or otherwise influence free. With that war to bed and the hellmouth on Easter island covered by giant ass living Moai statues, only a hand full of hellmouth's needed to be watched by the now ever growing slayer army.

We couldn't destroy them as the seed of wonder would just make more so we settled into a calm of sorts for a while and let our army grow.

For the next five years we lived in relative peace and I say that because a bug came to cause problems as he wanted to absorb the seed of wonder and Illyria. He called himself the siphoner but I called him fish bait.

I broke the magic in him that made him able to siphon off magic and essence of others by taking it all for myself before locking his abilities with anti magic runes I branded into his skeleton. He could no more siphon than an ordinary cricket could, hints the name fish bait.

As that was the second month in and other than reports no other big problems were presented other than Harmony tried making a tv show which was canceled when she caught fire mysteriously during production and died screaming on camera.

With that life was complete for now. Six months in to Buffy's pregnancy I married Lexi officially with all of their blessings. That same night Alice announced joyfully that she was pregnant with twins. Both girls from what her and my visions showed.

When Buffy gave birth it was truly the happiest day of my life and I decided to spread the news to our family in the other dimensions by bringing them all over for a while. Carlisle and the rest of the Olympic coven were very happy to hear about it and even wished us the best while secretly asking for Mohra blood.

They all ended up staying and becoming human again except Edward, Bella and Renesmee who was now happily married to Jacob.

I had to shield them from the worlds energies and was able to since they weren't magic users like Lexi. Niklaus and the rest were very happy to hear from us as it'd been a decade to them since we'd left.

Alaric has white hairs now while Damon wasn't far behind. Both were extremely happy to hear from us and even decided to stay. Alaric had already retired from heading the school and left it to Stefan. Josie and Lizzie had tragically tried to merge unprepared and Josie was left devastated as Lizzie died.

She went on to move out of state and barely kept in touch while marrying a dental hygienist. They'd herd a year after the fact that she'd committed suicide and neither Alaric nor Jo wanted to stay in that reality any more. He'd retired from school work and she'd left her job as chief surgeon at the hospital.

This had been the perfect opportunity for them to retire away from the memories. Damon and Elena decided they wanted a change of pace now that they were getting older. Matt has been shot in the line of duty as the town sheriff during a liquor store robbery and everyone else they cared about had stopped aging or were moving here.

After Buffy gave birth I did the immortality spell but a little different from what Silas and Qetsiyah came up with. As they didn't have magic to start with both were able to start learning it instead of the psychic abilities. As Faith put it, magic was way cooler than reading minds.

They would of course get the whole doppelgänger deal as they truly couldn't be killed and since I didn't make a cure and only our loved ones ever learned to siphon, they were pretty much unkillable. Niklaus didn't wish to stay as they'd built a home there but he did have me check in every month or so just to be safe as time here ran slower.

Rosalie finally got her wish as she and Emmett became human. She was the first after Alice from the Olympic coven to get pregnant since becoming human.

Six months after Buffy gave birth to little Gwen Summers, Alice gave birth to Andria and Selene Masters. Faith and Lexi wanted to hold off for a while and bask in the children we already had.

Time flew by as soon five years had finally passed since the return of magic. Many things had changed and more things remained the same. Damon, Alaric and I could be found most days at Willy's bar ran by Spike and his roaches.

They'd ended up crashing and destroying their space ship to my amusement, into the Hudson River. I'd laughed my ass off because Spike has been the one to take control of it and had dosed off while stoned on my special magical herbs.

He and the bugs were fine but the ship was at the bottom of the river and even after I cleaned the river I didn't dare swim in it long enough to retrieve the ship. For some reason the river remained smelly even after I'd depolluted the entire planet.

There was no trash heaps in the world as I got rid of it all once a year and cleaned all litter as well. Even with that the damned river smelled like a port-a potty at a truck stop that'd baked in the sun to long after being tipped over and opened.

So he was bar tending to pass the time. Angel had taken up residence on the Ohio hellmouth and was fighting the good fight with Fred, Wesley, Gunn and occasionally Illyria's help.

Buffy and Faith were training in magic still as they were taking their time with it since there was no need to rush. Other than training slayers they became guidance councilors for the reopened Sunnydale high. Giles of course had bigger things to do with rebuilding the watchers Council and cleaning out all of Wolfram and Hart's magical artifacts from each of their bases.

Andrew finally admitted his sexuality and came out of the closet in a big way with his new warlock boyfriend. Dawn and Xander married in the spring of last year with Anya's approval. Anya herself had begun practicing magic in order to become immortal like they were.

The slayer army had expanded exponentially over the last five years as my power had outstripped the slayer essence in the original eighteen hundred by a long shot. Now there were over ten thousand slayers and that number grew by around a hundred a year now.

The most significant change though in these past five years has been the world at large. With so many slayers and so much magic around many more portals to other dimensions through hellmouth's had been available. Many of which were not he'll like at all.

It was far from paradise on earth but it was certainly a magical time to be alive. The humans themselves seemed to be soaking in the magical energy as they were starting to shake slower and growing more sturdier as time went on. Alaric himself had less white hairs than he'd originally arrived with.

Not to mention Damon and all the women were enjoying these changes.
