Kapitel 384: The She-devil

The continuous beeping of the heart rate device and the blood pressure machine felt like a ticking time bomb in Luke's ears. It filled him with a mixture of anxiety and rage as he lay on his hospital bed brooding on the words of his parents.

Since the previous day his parents visited, no one had dimmed it fit to come check up on him or even call him. Not even the b**ch that put him in this condition. This made him feel as though he was an abandoned worthless son.

"No, I have to make things right."

Luke slowly sat up on his hospital bed while wincing in pain. Although the pain in his chest had gradually lessened when compared to the previous day, he knew he wasn't strong enough to move freely yet.
