Knox stifled his laughter until the nurse left, then erupted with a burst of hilarity. His friends were equally taken aback by the comical names of Leandre and her guardian, but unlike Knox, they were in the dark since they had not watched the anime that inspired the names. "Orochimaru Vipersmith and Kakashi Shadowrider? Naruto would be over the moon to catch wind of such appellations! Who is this crazy girl?"

"Who is Naruto?" Leandre demanded, his perplexity mirrored by the furrowed brows of Dustin, Xanth, and Liam. Leandre was aware that little girl, not knowing his real name, may have chosen to give him a false name. However, the ludicrous name of Vipersmith seemed to be a venomous jab at him.
