After a few moments of writhing in pain, David stabilized himself, still sweating...
"At least...hah...this will...hah...serve as pain tolerance training..." David panted, though excited, feeling a great power boost, as well as him instantly recovering due to him leveling up.
Washing up, David quickly gets serious and grabs a few of the cores that were unscathed during the battle.
Due to his unique skill {Correction}, even though he makes a large mistake, like pouring too much mana into a spell, the skill would automatically balance out the mana output. Because of his other unique skill, {Skill Enhancer & Refiner}, it would also be upgraded to have more efficiency and power, making it easier for David to remember the right feeling.
David placed the orb down onto the ground and put both of his hands above it as a fortune teller would upon their crystal orb.
Slowly pouring his magic into it, because of the fact that these cores were too low ranks and were considered extremely fragile, even with the {Correction} skill, it broke soon after.
'...Too much? Too much..." David nodded as his intuition using {Correction} did seem to try and lower the mana output.
'Seems like a rope level output isn't too good, maybe a thread level output then?" David took out another orb and began doing the process again, just using less mana.
He imagined a small thread entering the core, slowly unraveling it from the inside out, starting from the outer part of the core.
As he unraveled the core, he began seeing the traces of its mana, leading it extremely far away as there was even another floor underground, leading to what seems to be one of the nests.
Because the thread had seemed to travel several miles, the current number of the ants is inaccurate, though the baseline should be in the hundreds as it had either been a new colony, or an already famished and tired colony who just survived a war.
"...Mn...seems like I'll have to go on an extermination event..." David clenched his fists, crushing the orb in his hand.
He took out the other ant bodies, as the oleic acid doesn't affect anyone as long as they don't ingest it. He made a few more {Earth Spike}s and stabbed the ant bodies onto them, making them into training dummies. David also ripped off the legs as it creeped him out.
After setting up multiple training dummies beside each other, he drew his claws and started to practice from the knowledge ingrained into his body.
He slashed and stabbed multiple ant bodies, getting a better feel for his form, decreasing the amount of wasted movement greatly.
Afterward, he started channeling the mana around him, making one hand made of fire while the other hand was made of earth, though it didn't really hurt at all.

"Ohh!! That'll greatly help with my current attack power, plus, it doesn't seem to affect my mp that much since most of the mana here is fire and earth types anyway..." David looked at his two hands.
"I should be ready to fight them now!" David got up, stored the rest of the ant bodies into his inventory before walking out of his little cave.
Looking down, he saw a few new monsters in the area being filled with lava lizards, fire ants, fire golems, and other monsters as well.
"When...did this area become so popular?" David asked the system, in which it replied with...
[Due to the number of monsters Host has killed, the mana has already spread within this area, feeding the monsters close to this area, making it more populated for some time.]
"I see, I see. Gues this just means more exp for me!" David drew his claws, jumping down and quickly activating his {Fire Claws}.
All the monsters suddenly turn to him, in which David smirked, stomping on the ground, spikes appear around him, piercing a good amount of the monsters easily as he didn't put too much mana into it.
"Not bad..." David thought as he rushed toward the golems as they would be quite annoying, in case their strength would be able to shake the terrain, which would make him lose balance and focus.
Although he was strong, David would rather not try and melt his claws as he did test an attack out on the golem, only for it to not be effective at all, so instead of slashing at them, he palmed them and shot internal {Earth Spikes} at their core.
Due to the low ranking of the monsters, they would usually, only have one or two cores. After basically massacring the monsters, he checked his exp bar, only to see it filled up to 60%.
"Seems like they were all somewhat lower level than me..." David had noticed the fact that even being two levels lower than him, monsters at this rank would give very little experience, even if there were tons of them, which could potentially overwhelm him.
David had picked up the lizard bodies to eat later while putting the rest of the bodies into his inventory as the scent of so many monster corpses would be quite an appeal for other monsters. Plus, he needed to kill a mass of monsters, and making them separate would be harmful to his exp gain rate.
Using his {Mini-Map} and the memories he had gotten from the ant, he quickly navigates the cave...though he did do some occasional killing as there were a few monsters here and there.
By the time he arrived at the stairs, he looked at his exp bar again, only to see it increase by 10%.
"...Sigh...guess I'll just do this first then before going downstairs..." David pulled out a few ant corpses that were pierced by his spikes and some lizard meat.
He started a fire, and began roasting the lizard meat, getting it to a brown color, and started eating the lizard skewers, waiting for the aroma to lure a few more monsters.
David looked at the skewers in his hands, with his eyes squinted.
'...Survival...strength...survival...' those thoughts ran through his head, which he quickly suppressed, knowing that he might need some time to...'let loose' one day.
Shaking his head, David stood up, seeing that there were a few red dots closing into his area.
"Good...they're here..." David smiled, though this time...it felt more...animalistic than human.
