"I–I– what?" Galen squeaked out.
His heart had calmed but it was cruelly picking up speed yet again.
With his aura in chains, his confidence also ceased. His fire aura and self-assurance were intertwined with one another. It was no wonder someone like Prince Basileus, who had the largest aura of any Basilian, oozed confidence whenever he entered a room.
Galen stared at Ebari with wide, innocent eyes.
The guard looked like the lost teenager he really was, stuck in the body of the fully-fledged adult man that had been teasing Ebari since the first time he trained with him. Ebari instantly felt guilty for cornering him.
Galen's only instinct was to get away. As if physically being further from the man in front of him would make it so he couldn't tell what his true feelings were.
Ebari was attuned to the way Galen's mind worked and when he saw the man start standing up, he quickly put his hands on his shoulders.
