Varya was having a moment of whiplash. She went from wanting to party to wanting to figure out what was wrong with her dear friend in the span of a minute.
The drink she had downed with ease certainly didn't help her response to the situation but seeing Solana feeling so cornered, she gently took the shot from her hands.
"I mean, if you don't want to drink you don't have to," Varya said with an awkward laugh. "I'm not going to push anyone who doesn't want to."
Solana could tell that Varya was slightly hurt. The entire reason for them to be out that evening was to seek out a sense of the normalcy they once had. They had promised one another to go out for a girls' night once everything had settled down.
