Kapitel 214: Birthday Gone Wrong

Since there were no objections, the meeting between the dignitaries and emperors was adjourned. 

Despite the room having cleared out, Varya remained seated with her elbow resting on the arm of her chair and her chin in her hand. She was dazed by the sudden final announcement. 

Ebari and Basileus waited for her and she had a feeling that the two of them had known all along. 

"Was this your idea?" she asked, looking between them both. 

"We noticed how much you like birthdays," Ebari said. "But this was all the prince's doing. I was simply the person with the power to announce something like this." 

Seeing that there weren't any guests there, Varya stood up and walked around the table before embracing Basileus when she was in front of him. 

"Thank you," she said with a genuine smile. "Both of you. You didn't have to go and make it a whole holiday but I'm excited at the thought of others celebrating with me."
