"See, let me advise you. You have to understand that Grace doesn't really value people who can't satisfy her desires. She might pretend to be innocent, but underneath that innocent exterior is a vain and selfish person who would stop at nothing to get what she wants. I've dated her for so many years, so you can take my words on this."

"Don't you think I know you're only saying all this because you're no longer with her? Why should I believe an ex who betrayed her and went after her sister? I love Grace and know her character by now."

Rufus waved his hands dismissively. "Don't be deceived by appearances," he said. "But since you claim to love her so much, will you just let her be taken away by another man without a fight?"
