Kapitel 452: Happy Birthday

Maisie's nightmares had been getting worse the longer she kept messing around with the curse magic trying to figure out how it worked so she ended up just going to bed in Damien's room with him after a few days of waking him up in the middle of the night anyway. 

On Saturday morning, she was still dead to the world and he had to shake her shoulder slightly to get her to wake up so they could get to the park when it opened. "Maisie. Wake up. We're going to go do something fun."

"Nn?"

"Come on. We're getting donuts on the way."

That perked her up immediately. She loved donuts. They had been a special, rare treat back at the Blackwood coven and she was amazed that they were so easily available here. 

"Where are we going?" she asked as she hopped out of bed. 

"You'll see. Happy birthday, by the way."

"You know it's my birthday?"

"I've seen your ID, remember? Of course I know it's your birthday. I even got you a present."
