She could not tell whether her luncheon meeting had been a success or not. At least the business part seemed to be, but her personal life was not so.

She did not mind babysitting Angelique for a week. She was used to handling kids her age and even younger or older. But she still could not help but feel apprehensive.

"Why her?" Jules mumbled, still questioning the wealthy tycoon's decision to choose her as the guardian of his granddaughter. 

Of course, she was still afraid that something might happen to the young girl under her watch. After all, she was an heiress, the sole heir of a multibillion-dollar empire.

That was a huge responsibility but something she was unafraid to tackle. Not because she needed something from the financially endowed gentleman but because she could sense the desperation in the man.
